Well he's done it again another fantastic story with fantastic characters. Glad to see Edith get the spotlight with this story. And it's nice that this whole story takes place during Gordon the big engine/paint, pots, and queens. Keep up the good work Mike and I'm curious to see what the last story with Edith, and Eleanor will be.

Thank you for your kind comments! Rest assured - the next story about the electric engines will not be the “last”! I don’t intend to do full volumes with them, but rather individual stories at my pace! I will say, the next time you see them, Edith and Eleanor will have a “new friend”!

So I have an idea for Peel Godred stories, What if that line had a small steam engine used for maintenance and maybe light shunting? That engine would be based on, or just flat out be the Lively Polly engine from the LiverPool Overhead Railway. It was the only steamer on an otherwise all electric line and was it’s maintenance engine, why not have it/it’s sister on the Peel Godred? Also, it would be a way of having a Lady reference since she resembles that engine.

Are the stories set in 1953 or are they dispersed along different years?

Different years! “Shocked!” takes place just before the start of Troublesome Engines, this one is during Gordon the Big Engine, and “Eleanor’s January Blues” is ambiguous.

@@TheBuriedTruck well we do know that Eleanor's January Blues takes place before 1963 because Lord Harry/Patrick, Alaric and Eric aren’t present. I’d say it takes place at any point between 1947 and 1962. What year exactly is up to anyone.

Dane-gerous situation. May not be the right breed, but a good pun nonetheless. great story to Buried truck, I like how these stories are spread out over the decades. the first one take it place in mid 20s and this one taking place in the early 50s. very fun. I can’t wait to see what happens next for these two.

A great story right here! By the way, out of the curiosity, what basis is Edith and Eleanor and how could I tell who’s who? The last story “shocked” shown Edith being the small one, and Eleanor being the big one, and for the other story, “Eleanor’s January blues” Eleanor is a small diesel. And for this story, Edith is big. It’s kind of confusing in a way.

Believe it or not, they are similar in size. Edith is an LNER EE1, while Eleanor is an NER EF1. Eleanor is just a tiny bit smaller.
