This song off OMD's first album is very thin musically in the front half. While the second half had many instrumental and keyboard arrangements that many other bands copied, the front half became a chore to listen to. I pulled 15 snippets from within the song and whittled them down to the current seven. So now the front is much more musically balanced with the back half of the song.
Only recently did I learn that Stanlow is an oil refinery in the UK. Off hand I can not think of any band that has made a song about an oil refinery, and one that has not become famous for leaving a smoking hole in the ground either.
