There are two kinds of crowds, one that throws bottles, hats, and other things into the ice. And there is one that will sing the anthem of the opponent's team. Well done to the crowd.
I'm a proud, patriotic, unapologetic flag waiving American Veteran.....and I say without any hesitation that Canadians are the classiest, and best neighbors any....ANY country on the planet could have!!!! God Bless Canada!!!!
Im an Italian/American Boston Bruins fan and just loved this, the class the comes from Canada is unprecedented and first rate!! So proud of our northern neighbors!!
Imagine how touched the Ducks must have been for the Oilers fans to sing their national anthem. This shows the love and respect between the USA and Canada. As an American, this warms my heart.
We have family living in Washington, D.C. When they showed us various points of interests a must see was the Vietnam War Memorial--the Wall. Even though I am Canadian to see all those 50,000 plus names inscribed on that wall got to me emotionally--I wept.
Right. Now hadn't you better get back to maligning us and creating tariffs against our goods, bcs that's the message we're getting from you these days.
brooksie4 Alberta is the most pro American province in the country. And by far the most conservative. Kind of like Canada's Texas , but with free health care and without the guns. 😉
I've been listening the 'The Star Spangled Banner' my whole life. Almost every NHL game and the Olympics as well. I bet EVERYONE up here knows the lyrics. At least they are in English and don't change from time to time, unlike 'Oh Canada'
Funny coming from a Quebecois.Ever time I go through Quebec as soon as people realize I spoke English I was treated like crap.French people from Quebec are some of the most ignorant people I have ever met.Any anglo who has been there will attest to the dislike of non French.
Please don't generalize. I do not know where you went, but the people here surrounding me, ie. my family, neighbours, friends, are not intolerant and narrow-minded like you described. Are there ingnorant and bigoted people in Quebec? Sure, as are anywhere in the world. But your generalization is hurtful and discouraging to us that appreciate all of Canada.
They're even better than that. After knocking your teeth out they pick them up hand them back to you and apologize for doing it. Of course, they'll hit you again if you are in their way while trying to score, but hey, that's the way the game is played.
Yet another reason why I love hockey and love Canadian fans. I was lucky enough to be able to travel to see my Stars play in Edmonton and Calgary in 2006, and it was an incredible experience! Thanks, Oiler fans, for yet another great memory of Canada!
David Sopkin O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North strong and free! From far and wide, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for for thee.
Canada and the United States are such good friends that we know each other's National Anthems verbatim. As a Red Wings fan and American I was proud when we returned the favor. Awesome moment.
The fans in Edmonton were pure class! Thank you! Thank you! I was very proud of you. Maybe you're just so grateful that you were lucky enough to get McDavid in the lottery :) Cheers to Edmonton and Canada!
🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦 SUPPORT THE NHL !! Hard working, patriotic, value driven athletes !! Unlike the over privileged man babies of the NFL and NBA #BoycottNBA #BoycottNFL
We've fought together, bled together and died together. We are brothers and sisters united long into the future. I'd like to believe, much like on this night, we will always rally and turn to one another in times of need. No matter how small. With much love, A Canadian.
Love my country! CANADA is honestly amazing in every way shape and form. Everyone I meet here in Canada, turly has the kindest heart! Love this country so much. GO CANADA!
We lost the game but I gained so much pride for my city. Still gives me chills! What if this became a standard for all games . . . the audience singing both national anthems. Both teams have Americans and Canadians anyways.
Canadians are truly some of the nicest people on the planet. Thank you for showing such class and respect for our national anthem. I wish I could say were the shoe on the other foot, we would react in the same manner. However, I doubt many Americans know the lyrics. I regret to say that I do not, but I do now vow to learn them. Much respect Canada!
loved hearing that, wow. it sounds so powerful and moving. I like both anthems and know the words to USA anthem too. Good to feel the love between two countries because seems like everywhere else in this world is getting fd up. we got to stick together. love from BC Canada eh.
CLASS move Edmonton. I am ashamed to admit I don't know all the words to Canada's National Anthem but I am going to make it my business to learn it. I'm not much of a hockey fan, but I'm pretty sure US hockey fans would be able to return the favor should it ever happen here, because they are exposed to hearing it vs non hockey fans. I remember when the Montreal Expos came to Shea Stadium, and we'd get to hear both Anthems. Well don Canada, sincerest thanks!
@@LizBrousseau Canada should not be known as “Our Friends From the North, Canada should be known as “Our Family From The North”. Thank you for loving America and all Americans. I love Canada and all Canadians as much as I love America and Americans.

I am watching funny animal videos and this popped up out of nowhere. I know that this was 4 years ago but, thank you to our brothers to the North. This brought tears to my eyes. I doubt that I will ever have an occasion to repay the kindness but I am going to learn Oh Canada.
I've been an Edmonton fan for 15 years and I'm happy to see them in the playoffs and I'm glad to see all the support, and buddy you got to change that profile picture it's gotta go😂👌🏼
Canadians and us are absolutely 1 person. I’d die for them. I live on the Canadian Borders. They are me and I them one heart one mind- I sing every word of their anthem- ( Tim Hortons huge unifier)!
One piece to this that gets severely underrated is the crowd alleviating the awkwardness for the guy on the ice trying to sing the anthem. I'm sure he appreciated the support more than anyone...
