This series will be documenting the build of a Gulf War Tornado GR1, using the Eduard limited edition 'Desert Babes' kit and a slew of extras. In part two I start construction and work on fitting some of the resin upgrades.

I happened upon your channel earlier today and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Your tutorial on using CA glue and Talc for seem lines was brilliant! I'm currently finishing an Accurate Miniatures TBM-1C that I've procrastinated far too long on. Waiting on a moisture trap for my airbrush to do final paint. Very high humidity in Mobile, Alabama, USA. Peace and love.

A lot of work, it seems... I know now what to expect when I get to my F.3 from the stash. Except for the resin cockpit, I have aquired the same accessories! 🙂

It's amazing. I can use your videos like a "how to do" for this model. I've seen other modelers cry trying to put that part of this kit together, but you do it like it's the easiest kit in the world. Excellent work. You are my heroine from now on.

When i served in the RAF from 1980 to 1996 i learned very soon that a lot of the female riggers were far better than a lot of male riggers, nice to see you doing it so well for lady modellers. 👍

Those wheel bays are some of Aires’ better fitting parts. Good plan keeping the kit trunking. I tried to use a phase resin seamless intake and ended up binning it as it simply doesn’t fit over the resin bays, without cutting a chunk out of it. I’ve also recently purchased a small modellers vice to hold parts like that wheel bay whilst I cut the plugs off, it helps immensely with precision cuts as the part doesn’t wobble around in your fingers

I briefly considered seamless intakes Bruce, but so little of it can be seen once the thing is built that I didn't think it'd be worth it. Seems I was correct :-)

Hi Jen love the channel and this is not a criticism just a funny observation. In the first two parts of this build you bemoaned the amount of parts that were in the kit then bought more parts for the kit. LOL.

Hi Nigel, to be clear, it isn't the amount of parts that is an issue, but the breakdown of the parts and specifically for the fuselage construction. There are nine major sections to make up the fuselage, not including the radome and intake assemblies. This just makes assembly fiddly and leaves a lot of room for error; especially given the mediocre moulding quality. I take your point though lol

Amazing work What color did you use for the cockpit?
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraft
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraft 2 года назад
The cockpit was painted with a mix I made ages ago for Dark Sea Grey. I think the correct colour is Dark Admiralty Grey, but it's similar....
