Educating Girls in East Africa | Growth Through Learning 

In 1997, Growth Through Learning (GTL) was founded, we are a secular organization that supports education and development in East Africa by providing full secondary education scholarships for exceptional young women in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania who would otherwise be unable to afford education beyond primary school. GTL encourages the cross-cultural exchange of information and ideas, especially in promoting women’s empowerment in East Africa. End of 2021 we launched the Changemakers Project which is focused on documenting the stories of the scholars we support, conversations with the headteachers from our partner schools as well as capturing the moments and experiences of these bright girls and young women.
