Portugal, Suécia e Itália foram os três países envolvidos no projeto “Education as a Foundation for Democracy”, que teve como principal objetivo a criação de uma campanha que promovesse o debate sobre o papel da educação na defesa e garantia dos direitos humanos, na promoção de uma cultura de paz e não-violência, na cidadania global e na valorização da diversidade cultural.
Estiveram envolvidos neste projeto cerca de 15 participantes, 6 dos quais foram jovens portugueses que já participaram no projeto Jovem Autarca, do Gabinete da Juventude.
Desta semana de oportunidades, aprendizagens, reflexões e partilha de diferentes perspetivas, para além de outros momentos de lazer e contacto intercultural, resultou a criação de um vídeo promocional com informações sobre algumas das conquistas democráticas, dados estatísticos sobre o tópico, relativos aos diferentes países envolvidos e bons exemplos da conquista pela democracia.
Aqui fica o resultado deste trabalho, que deixou todos os envolvidos muito orgulhosos!

Erasmus + "Education as a Foundation for Democracy".

Portugal, Sweden and Italy were the three countries involved in the project "Education as a Foundation for Democracy", which aimed to create a campaign to promote the debate on the role of education in the defense and guarantee of human rights, promoting a culture of peace and non-violence, global citizenship and the enhancement of cultural diversity.
About 15 participants were involved in this project, 6 of whom were young Portuguese who have already participated in the Young Mayor project of the Youth Office.
This week of opportunities, learning, reflections and sharing of different perspectives, in addition to other moments of leisure and intercultural contact, resulted in the creation of a promotional video with information on some of the democratic achievements, statistical data on the topic, relating to the different countries involved and good examples of the conquest for democracy.
Here is the result of this work, which made everyone involved very proud!
