Just started watching, but wanted to point out drill dash cooldown is half when used underground. Good for rollouts and escaping after your team feeds.
Yeah, and if you factor in that dig duration is 4 seconds, you can dig, instantly drill, then wait out the duration and you'll have drill as soon as you resurface

Minor suggestion: every once in while, at the end of round for example, hold tab for more that 10 microseconds. It may just be me but I like trying to follow the stats and you are so quick it is hard.
i was watching the stream and i literally ROARED irl when you finally got that last win, extremely elated for you! Saying this is impossible is an understatement especially when you're awake for 30 hours, so damn proud of you, Awkward, GM5 is also essentially T500 rn! you're always doing us, the community a HUGE favor by sharing everything that you know. i continue to learn so much from you and on behalf of everyone - thank you so much for your dedication and encouraging us all to be a better version of ourselves!
Seeing metal rank players constantly calling eachother out or blaming X on their team for the loss just shows how utterly useless most peoples input is. Almost nobody recognised Awkward was the cause of the win, it was always because someone sucked, never because there was very obviously a top500 player in the lobby. Says it all.
I'm pretty terrible at competitive overwatch ( don't play much, don't have time, don't care ) but what I noticed it's that once somebody starts raging or putting the blame on their own teammates in the chat that's when everything falls apart. Most of the times I've lost it's because the team started to collapse. People are losers not because they play bad but because they blame others for it. When the team isn't disrespecting each other and just doing their jobs it's easy to turn a lost game into a win.
Awkward thank you very much for all educational content you shared with me. Especially all Unrankeds To GMs you did. I learned alot from you. Also every second of your gameplay is looking like a fancy montage for me. So watching your videos is a great combination of enjoying and learning. And also your gameplay tips not only working, but also making game more fun for me, especially when I play support.

See the thing is, Awkward can do what he does in these unranked to GM's for the simple fact that he is smurfing. He is 90% better than the people he is playing in these lobbies. For the average player you are hoping to be 10% better than everyone. If you have received coaching from actual OW coaches like I have you would understand this. When Awkward plays against opponents that he is not 90% better than, he does not play like how he teaches. This is just the truth.
personally i use dig and dash to get in and if u pop dash right as you start burrow then if you full charge when you get out you have dash again because of a shorter cooldown.
I can’t wait for unranked to gm on doomfist. I think it will be one of the hardest ones to do in my opinion. I also think it will help people like me so much.

It's also the little things that Danny is doing, that's helping him stay alive and provide more value for his team. For example --> When he ults, he's not bloodthirsty for kills. He shoots once or twice and has the trigger discipline to back off when he's getting rushed because staying alive is worth MORE than getting a kill and dying (and walking all the way from spawn) It's the little things, people.
That’s insane bro. Thanks for the grind! I went on a 11 game winstreak with her, but she’s definitely a harder hero. Burrow is the most difficult part about her kit and you can’t underestimate how long it actually takes her to get underground
No wonder why Venture just got a tiny nerf today, you found a quick kill combo. I've been dominating my comp lobbies with her, tanking for my Supports just by using both of her abilities because she has so much shield adding to her health.
It's pretty funny how oblivious people are to venture in a game I'm pretty decent at tracking him now just like a tracer I guess you could say need to pay attention like her position then where she will recall but with venture obliviously paying attention to him underground. Everyone gets surprised by him , they them w/e.
Could you do unranked to GM on Torbjorn? Given that you talk a lot about off-angling and distracting enemies, I would love to see how you place your turrets and engage with him!
Normally when I watch awkward play I think "there's no way I could do this". Watching him die in the first 15 seconds of every round is my kinda party!

I have a question, wouldnt it be better if youre close to the target already to do shoot,melee,drill,shoot ? It seems like its way faster because you kinda cancel animation by doing that, let me know if im wrong
I think the thing that puts her over the top is how good her Poke damage is. Other heroes of her kind have to get closer because their bullets have some level of spread/recoil. So with Venture you can fight at off angles safely while still having effective damage, this lets you pick your engage and force the enemies to react to it.
Insane that you got this out so fast, hope you and your editor get the rest you deserve. Are there any plans for a Doomfist unranked to GM in the future? There's very little educational climbs for that hero and I'd love to hear what advice you have to give for that hero in particular.
@@techno2949 There are a lot of them yes, but they're not educational other than MAYBE Samito's toxic one, other than that they're just gameplay of someone going unranked to GM. That's why I specified educational climbs and not just climbs.

Everyone compares Venture to DPS Doomfist. But honestly....I play them just like I play Reaper. Use my drill to create an offangle/close distance just like TP with Reaper. When things get dicey I dig out just like using Wraith with Reaper. Biggest difference is that Venture has a lot more speed and mobility. Unfortunately it shows just how outdated Reaper's design is and how badly he needs a rework.
