this movie is one of the reasons why Jhonny Depp is favourite actor. He doesn't need to say much to show so many emotions. Tim Burton is a genious, great director, always original. It is awesome you liked it.

Yeah, that’s a favorite. One to watch if you want the unusual side of Burton without being fully Gothic and sad. Also if you’re over the musicals.

This movie is an absolute tearjerker. I need long periods between watching it because it hits me so hard, like Peter Jackson's "King Kong". However, in the end, Edward is happier on the hilltop, despite everything. The people he considered his friends turned on him so fast the second he was accused of anything and that one B I T C H said he forced himself on her. He was a gentle soul that never hurt anyone on purpose until that asshole hurt the girl he loved. Still makes me sad though.

Hey Timothée! Winona Ryder is a some great movies! She’s in Beetlejuice also by Tim Burton, Girl Interrupted, Little Women (1994), The Crucible. She went through a rough patch in the early 2000’s (arrested for shoplifting, substance abuse, etc.). I don’t know how well she is now because we never know a celebrity personal life but she did a great comeback playing Will’s mom in Stranger Things!

@@haveanicedave1551 That’s the problem. In order to appreciate a good performance, you need to separate the character being portrayed from the actor and their personal beliefs. I don’t agree with anyone who is far left, yet I can still appreciate a good cinematic performance by them when it’s earned. Jim Carrey is a complete lunatic as a person. But his movies are hilarious.

If you like Tim Burton; you need to watch his Batman and Batman Returns movies with Michael Keaton, Jack Nickleson, Michele Pfeiffer, and Danny DeVito. As for Winona Ryder; she was tons of movies, including, Tim Burton's Beetlejuice, Mermaids, Alien Resurrection, and Girl, Interrupted, just to name a few

Awwww Tim Burton is one of my 3 favourite directors and this movie is a classic…. Looove Winona and Johnny 😍; the “inventor” is played by Vincent Price, a legend of horror films and also he is the narrator on Michael Jackson’s song Thriller…I’d like to think every time it snows it’s Edward, somewhere making ice sculptures 😁 great reaction!

Fun fact Edwards suit was made out of Tim Burtons couch and he passed out during the scene were the ladys gave him the food because how tight and hot it was inside the suit and it was filmed in Florida so yee respect Johnny Deep.

This movie was so cool as a kid and still fun to watch. It was also a bit creepy seeing scissors for hands but a sad story with a good ending (for the situation). It being Johnny Depp makes it better

How many of us when we were younger wanted to talk to a pretty girl, and then when the opportunity finally comes, it's just the circumstances that make it sooo awkward and you think "darn, that wasn't supposed to go like that, now she'll never like me". One of my favorite Wynona Rider movies is Bram Stoker's Dracula. It's pretty awesome IMO. She's also great in Girl, Interrupted and BeetleJuice (another Tim Burton film). I also hope you'll consider checking out some of Burton's other films, such as Sleepy Hollow, Sweeny Todd, and Big Fish. :)

I love ❤ Edward too, Depp has rarely been better in a performance. 👏 This was also the first in one of the greatest cinema collabs: Burton directing Depp. Ok now you gotta see Wynona in Mermaids and Girl, Interrupted and Depp in Cry-baby and What's eating Gilbert grape!!! 🤟🏾

What I love about Tim Burton's movies aren't the ones with happy endings, but the ones that have bittersweet endings (Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride, etc.)

Yay!! This is one of my favorite Johnny Depp films. The other is Sleepy Hollow. Also, the inventor is the legend Vincent Price. He’s done some not so great B-horror films back in the day and they weren’t that great but still love them. Vincent Price starred in the original 1959 House on Haunted Hill. ❤️ Love the reactions.

Tim Burton cast such a surrealist light on suburbia to such great effect in this movie, that it's hard for me to watch. Literally, the use of color actually kind of makes me sick to look at it. But it's such a great movie experience, I have to occasionally make myself suffer through. And I'm always thrilled to see Vincent Price, for his short amount of screen-time. My stomach hates it, but I love this movie.

When I first watched this movie, I was already a Tim Burton fan and knew I was gonna love it immediately by the opening credits. Yeah it is one of his sadder movies, but its still hauntingly beautiful and I adore his aesthetic and style. He's one of my favorite directors. If you like Winona Rider, funny enough, she also starred in another Tim Burton film called Beetlejuice. Its one of his earliest films and really shows his creativity and love for all things dark and spooky. I really encourage you to check out a majority of his filmography. It is an experience! Every time :)

Don't worry, guys. Edward's story won't end the way it did in the first movie. Not if my new Edward Scissorhands sequel script can help it. I'm already working on the third scene in it on my jump drive. I'm typing it up. Edward deserves his true love, and he'll finally find her in the disabled, female character, Jennifer Peterson, whose being badly mistreated by the neighbors in Suburbia.

I thought a good idea would be for the Inventor to have had a niece or daughter who left/disappeared before Edward was made. It turns out Edward was made to replace her. She comes back a few years after the end of the movie, and is an inventor herself. You can guess the rest. What appeals to me about this storyline is that it explains why Edward was created, preserves a link to the Inventor and introduces someone who can truly understand Edward. Oh, and I'd make her the total opposite of Kim.

(I have a top 100 but nobody wants to hear that :P) Depp reminds me of Karloff or Lon Cheney Sr. bringing out the humanity in the "monster" with so little dialog. 10. Pinnochio 9. Yo can see her in Beetlejuice, Sweet November, Little women, Girl interrupted, Heathers and more recent, Stranger things... she disapeared from the scene several years as she was caught shoplifting, she has/had a kleptomaniac problem that was big and caused her to fall from public's grace for a while

If you like Johnny Depp and the 50s - Cry-Baby from 1990. If you don't know anything about it, the cast has a few surprises. One of my favorite movies from John Waters. Fun and full of music, but it ain't Grease. ;)
