I cry every time i watch this. Jade is so happy and she sings with so much emotion. No shoes on, living life to the best dancing around not a care in the world. So sad about Haden, may you rest in peace. I spent 6 months in hospital with my ex girlfriends daughter who passed away of Leukemia last year. Horrible disease. Fly high you brave warrior. Much love to everyone out there
As an old hippie whose seen almost everyone this band gets two thumbs up. Home is one of those songs you can't get out of your head. Thankfully it is a feel good song.
To my best friend Haden I will miss you so much and you're my angel and part my life always and forever and ever since we're kids from childhood memories I will always love you buddy
I go back to this video every once in a while, when ive forgotten what life is about. When I cant remember the purpouse of life, what I can do here on earth. Everytime I cry a little because I now can remember the good in life. This song saved my life when I was thinking of ending it, this song gives me so much hope and energy to keep fighting. Thanks for giving me a reason to live
Hell yeah !!!!!!. This is one of the most joyous moments I ever very seen. I’m so glad Hayden got to experience this. RIP young brother. ✌️and love from 🇦🇺
@@proptosis2682 Living is being happy, even tho that means going through dark periods, to think otherwise, you're just not enjoying your life as you could, that's what I'd define foolish.
This performance is crowd interaction at its finest. Never before have I seen a band make their show revolve so heavily around the audience. Beautiful.
This is my daughter and her husband's "song" since they began dating at 15. They married in 2010, and soon had 3 kids. Dec. 2019 she passed away from Kidney failure, she was waiting for a transplant. This is one of the songs we played at her memorial. It's such a beautiful and sweet song. Be an organ donor! My girl lives on in so many others!
@@Will-nj1ph Thank you for letting me know. I have not seen his post. As a mom you hope someone loves your babies like you do. They shared something so sweet ❤️. Blessed.
I dont care what anyone says, this is a prime example that music makes the world a happier place, i had goose bumps throughout the entire 13 mins. Amazing
This is what the world should be about, love and supporting each other with the help of beautiful music like this!! This definitely brought me to tears, I can't express how truly deep and beautiful this entire video was but it's a great start to any day. Learn to be positive and love one another!!
How can you give importance to a fucking dress , when a leucemia patient, that they had met before ,went up to the stage .. some people are so fucking superficial
+1 for the dress +2 for Nilly for liking the dress +infinity for Haden who certainly liked being alive next to the dress -1 for Miguel for shaming someone to feel important. As penance you shall affirm some beauty in your life.
I discovered this song accidentally... I changed my city, job and life... In the best space of minds now... This song changed my life... Have listened to it religiously every single freakin day!!!
Memodnb I wasnt joking. Without God we are just mud. Im just saying we need God. I dont want to argue cause I dont want any negativity in my heart today. Lol lets just be cool.
I come here from time to time to see my friend Haden. RIP sweet soul. I know you’ve passed but remember smoking that joint on your birthday? In an aeroplane over the sea? And of course Akita? I can never forget. We love you, we are proud of you. Rest easy friend.
As I shed a tear I just want everyone to remember that life is beautiful and were all connected - dont let the news and all that jazz get ya down- love you all
This was the most magical moment of my life. This band is so caring for their fans and witnessing something so amazing is just beyond words. I mean, what are the odds that out of everyone in the crowd he picked that young man to tell his story?
here I am, 6 years later. just scrolling comments and came across my own comment. Life has treated me well, met the love of my life and have my beautiful daughter I’ve prayed years for. still in complete love with this song. I plan on walking down the aisle to it. Thank you, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. I always come back to this song. Take care everyone
Hipster, flipster or shape shifter I dont give a fuck these guys put fun back into music. EDIT: didnt realise that Jade had left she wrote. “They voted me off of tour a week before they left, via email. lol” I hope they will survive , big loss for them . :(
This was a perfect 12 minutes and 59 second captured. No matter what happened to to the band or anyone else involved, this was pure magic. Just something really special
I watched this in the morning with coffee today, and started crying when they talked to the guy who got his transplant…! And then brought him on stage. OH my gooooodness
Whenever i feel lost in myself i watch this video. It remembers me to celebrate and live life to the fullest and nothing is given for granted! We are all privileged to be on this beautiful planet!!!

he was dying and the band went to the hospital and played there... it helped him a lot and he got a transplant that same day which saved his life! That's what Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros is about... LIFE: hard, beautiful, cool and easy too...
I'm so happy Hayden's family and friends have this treasure to refer to. God I've turned to this for good old fashioned uplift many times. Thanks H and thanks ES&TMZ.
You cry 3 times in this video: 1) When Haden tells his story 2) When Haden tell his story 2nd time on state 3) When he is given the microphone and sings out of his lungs at the end This is so wholesome ❤️
@@queilapriscilla9853 At 7:25, he says that last year they came to visit him in the hospital and he had a transplant that saved his life. Then on stage, he introduces Haden. Heden says that a year ago, he was in the hospital, diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, and they stopped by to visit him. On that day, he received a transplant from an anonymous donor that saved his life. (He later passed away..) RIP Haden
Jade seems like a sweetheart. What a shame she's no longer with the group. She's a great singer. Hope she gets a solo career. I would love to be in a band with her.
I am so so sorry to hear about his passing. I was there for this moment live, and it was one of the greatest moments of my life. I just saw their instagram post and I just got so sad. I am so sorry and I know a bunch of people are thinking about him
Dude and DUDEETES. I WAS THERE TOO SURREAL. THE ENERGY WAS THE WAY WE WERE BORN TO LIVE. TOGETHER IN PEACE AND HARMONY PERIOD. I DESPITE OF ALL THE SHIT LIFE THROWS US KEEP FIGHTING FOR PEACE AND LOVE I wanna add that just minutes before Edward and the gang took stage. A huge storm was threatening the area. The wind was blowing the stage and all around The security was frantically trying to CLEAR THE AREA and the crowd. I was in the built up wheelchair stage. They had cleared all the electric chairs and the wheelchair people BUT SOME of us and the ensuing crowd PERSEVERED for this magnificent performance IT WAS SOOOOO WORTH IT
I had goosebumps the whole video how amazing. Sorry to hear the gentlemen in this video passed away. I'm glad he got to experience this moment in his short life he seemed to be a kind soul. R.I.P. Haden. So great for this band to interact with their audience like that. Very beautiful to see.
I travel alone a lot, the world is our oyster. But this is the song that every time I’m lost I feel found again. Thank you for sounding like home no matter where I am!
7:45 kills me every time - then i read he (Haden) sadly passed away after this, what an amazing and beautiful chance encounter - i lost a friend to brain cancer around the same age as this young man and it gets me cryin on my laptop everytime, RIP to Haden and my bud Stan - you are 'Home' now *btw loved this song since the NFL of all places used it in a 'get kids to play more outside' type ad back in like 2011/12ish
it was bonnaroo, everyone was high. Don't you know most musicians are lovers of intoxicants? I saw this live and remember it like was yesterday... balling my eyes out when that boy told his story. I wouldn't have wanted to witness it any other way.
6:55 This needs to happen before we get trapped in a virtual cell that we built for this real world. If we don't ALL do this soon, I'm afraid we won't be free to choose where we can go. I fear we will be subjected to system of social credit with restrictions on how, where, when, and what we can spend the fruits of our own labor. If we don't ALL look up from the phone to realize what is really happening right now, and we don't ditch those tracking, tracing, monitoring, recording, and databasing devices, we will wake up in the not so distant future to a world a locked down like China. If we keep going down this path we will trade what's left of our rights and freedom for a life of ease and convenience. The last thing each and every single one of will hear is the fading sound of a fat banker's boisterous laughter as he exits the grid into the golden sunset. Leaving us trapped at the whims of this prison cellular network. This might sound dramatic. It might sound extreme. Just look at how badly we are being abused and exploited. If you a little deeper you will see that none of these crooked politicians are on any of our sides None of the billionaires or any of the so-called Elites are actually trying to save the planet. Elon is definitely not trying to save free speech. Have you seen what lithium mining does to our HOME planet? I don't get why people think he's so smart. The first electric vehicles were created almost 200 years ago, during the mid 1830's, Elon, himself, said, "I am not the technical genius everyone thinks I am." You might dismiss that as him just being modest. Look up the etymology of the word "smart." Attach the word "phone" behind the words, and definitions that pop up. I could ramble on, but we are running out of time. Do you want to be free? Or do you want every aspect of your life to be controlled by the bank/government? Our choice simply boils down to this: Freedom? Or phone? You can't have both right now. Everyone is counting on each other to make the only logical choice available. If you let yourself get locked into the grid under their CBDC/Social Credit System, it's going to be game over. So be smart. Smash that phone. Reclaim your own rights and freedom.
