This guy is just amazing. Very well spoken, eloquent, concise. Doesn't ramble or have delusions about himself. Just a good guy who had insider knowledge on a lot of unpleasant things.

The question is "Did Snowden do the right thing in leaking NSA files?" THe answer is "Are the NSA doing the right thing?"

This man is an ABSOLUTE HERO, anyone that says different is an enemy of the state and to the American people.

He’s a hero! In his book and the movie, many government contractors were scared and if they spoke up, they knew they would have lost their jobs, been moved or let go? He had no choice because he cared about the US and the world.

It's pretty sad that whenever someone like snowden decides to finally stand-up against our system and say "hey open your eyes everyone", that he feels that he has to seclude himself in another country to feel safe. This country isn't what it once was, If he is put on trial or anything, I can honestly say that I'd confidently defend him because this just isn't right. As American citizens, we have a right to privacy. We have a right to say what we want to say. The government is threatened by this man because they're afraid he's going to expose them for what they really are: sneaky, lying cowards. And that's exactly what he's done. Hopefully everyone else will finally realize that our so called "government" is taking on tyrannical attributes and idk about the rest of you but, I'd really rather not fall under a dictatorship.

Should get a medal for valor in my opinion even though he was not in military at the time but is still serving not just the United States but everyone, we will see how it plays out Rand Paul's class action lawsuit for the illegal information gathering has been ruled illegal by the Courts, the mentality that snitches get stitches... no one likes a squeeler... we deal with this in everyday life all the time but this is way more important if someone needs help should you not help or rise up against something is wrong or should we just sit back and follow in line..

For years I've heard friends and family respond to the news by saying that Thomas Jefferson or John Adams is rolling in his grave. Today I believe Samuel Adams is jumping up and down, shouting Huzzahs, and begging St Peter to allow him (Samuel) to meet Edward Snowden at the pearly gates. For many years Dr. Martin Luther King Jr has been my modern American hero. Today, Edward Snowden just usurped that throne!

Assuming that Snowden's facts are truthful, where the question for me is how are they using this information that is being collected and monitoring, and to what ends? There absolutely should be privacy among the people, the problem is that the people do not monitor the government; the government monitors itself which allows them to do whatever the would like.

I'm not from America but i see all this support for Snowden online. yet i see nothing happening in the states. Look at Egypt. its is possible, you need to organize and do something. Most people from the outside see what is happening in your country, time to step up and wake up the millions of american sheep and do something.

If a government wanted to do away with certain undesirables in society, the first and most difficult obstacle would be to identify them. Technology has made that task a very easy thing to accomplish in just the last 15 years or so. I wonder what the next 15 years will bring. I also wonder what constitutes an undesirable.
