I love the mashup of both Edwards and Henry's themes. It sounds so natural. And FINALLY After 40 years, Gordon's mischief from Thomas & Gordon is punished!!!
Man, if this was in season 1, it would have been the perfect episode to air after Edward’s Day Out and Thomas and Gordon. Even showing Edward how he was given the Wellsworth branch. It makes you feel like a kid again.
I love how this story keeps continuity with the lore and adds little extra bits in keeping with the established canon. These are the best kinds of fandom stories.
What a brilliant story. I loved how Edward got to show how useful and reliable he is. Plus the last part at the end with Gordon being found out for his trick he played on Thomas was a surprise. This adaptation is recommended to all Thomas fans 😀.
I love seeing Gordon get reprimanded for dragging Thomas along the Main Line! I always thought it was weird that he never got reprimanded, like Gordon wasn't in the wrong for putting the little blue puffball through that kind of suffering. I mean, Thomas *DID* kinda deserve it, but I think Gordon needed some kind of punishment. Both this and Trampy finally gave justice to Thomas, and I love it! Per usual, Edward is a chad, being the best character to exist. W episode!
You think maybe that's why Gordon was pulling trucks instead of the express in the second half of Edward and Gordon/Edward Helps Out? Just a theory. UPDATE: I rescind. It also takes place after Edward and Gordon/Edward Helps Out.
@@GamingDelight the theory could work, seeing as how we don’t see Thomas for most of the story (besides being a background character to be jealous of Edward)
Well, if you ask me, Gordon is *ENTIRELY* at fault for what he did to poor Thomas, and so, he deserves to be punished and taught a lesson for what he did. From now on, we shall all give justice to Thomas.
@@munipalsfanboything Then again, I could be wrong. Remember, Edward was promised a new paint job, which implies that this took place after Edward and Gordon/Edward Helps Out.
Excellent episode! I like the setting of it taking place after Edward & Gordon and during Thomas & Gordon. Plus, having Edward earning his branch line at the end feels very satisfying (we never got a story prior in the books or the show of how Edward got one after he proved his worth from the events of the first few books). Also, Gordon's disgusted face at the end is priceless!
Gordon's trick could have damaged Thomas as the E2s weren't built for high speeds. Gordon did have a bit of a hiccup with Thomas, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. I am glad this shows how Edward gained his Branchline
Fantastic episode, I really love how you weave this story into taking place during the events of Thomas and Gordon. Showing how Gordon getting back at Thomas led to Edward having to do Thomas's work around the main station, which then led to Edward helping Henry, suffering from the coal. With a nice callback/call forward in the TV timeline to them pulling together the Express. Ending nicely with Thomas and Gordon coming back to the station with Gordon ending up getting into trouble for the mess he caused in Thomas and Gordon. Edward being awarded for his branchline, which fits nicely into the series timeline, since the series never showed him being awarded it or moving there. But just having him there in later episodes. You have done it again mate, told a great story that adds to season one of the show, nicely filling in gaps and enhancing the narration, characters even more. These to me are canon Thomas works and I have them as part of my watch for the first two seasons of Thomas.
Oh yeah, And Gordon’s gonna be punished for his cruel behavior and reckless actions for a very long time, while, on the other hand, Thomas is gonna be shown sympathy and be given a much-needed break from shunting and Edward’s gonna be given a new coat of paint, and both are gonna be given their very own branchlines.
Great to have stories like these presented in the style of Series 1. I'd quite like to see certain Series 3+4 episodes recreated in this style. E.g: Henry and The Elephant - A Scarf For Percy (AKA Percy and The Trousers) - Paint Pots and Queens. Reason being that these stories, along with existing Series 1 adaptations are featured together in early volumes of The Railway Series.
Makes for a good story having this set during "Thomas Gets Tricked". Seeing a dirty Edward do all the work as a result of Gordon's prank sure is nice. "Usefulness before cleanliness", as the saying goes. 😉 Wasn't expecting him to get his branch line as part of his reward. Loved seeing STH's new smiling model at 4:37. Brings us right back to S1. And Gordon's face at 4:59 is just hilarious! 😆 Also, how did you ever make the redness appear in Gordon's cheeks? I just have to know.
Wow! Episode 2 is already out, what a nice surprise!! :D You have mastered the cinematography and style of series 1 after doing so many episodes set in this era! Awesome work Mate! Absolutely loved it.
I recently watch all of Season 1 and I have to say, you captured the feel of the season in the most faithful and beautiful way posible. This video gives me such a warm feeling just like Season 1 does, Just for this little masterpiece here you deserve a new Subscriber for your hard work, keep up the good work my boy!!!
Great story. I'm guessing that this took place before Thomas's Train, since I figured this was after Thomas and Gordon which everyone here had already guessed about.
Nice Edward to The Rescue Story There Keep Those Awesome Thomas and Friends Story Coming Wardleton Station Edward Sure Was Overjoyed When Sir Topham Hatt Give Him The Brendam Branch to Run
FANTASTIC!! By the way, you've seriously had actually done such a really good job on instantly referencing straight from various episodes in the officially well-known Thomas & Friends TV show's own officially official completely complete classic era's complete 1st season alongside following the events in the episodes of Thomas Gets Tricked combined with Henry to the Rescue in form of Edward the Blue Engine himself cheerfully coming over to rescue Henry the Green Engine himself WHILST pulling a goods train as a spectacular way of officially showing us exactly how Edward the Blue Engine himself certainly had actually received his own official branchline that runs from Wellsworth Station to the business of the port of Brendam Docks alongside a fresh coat of paint in blue with red stripes including yellow lining 'round the windows respectfully!!!
I loved this, all the elements come together well, the pacing was great too, stuck the story to a solid 4:30, just like classic Thomas. I really enjoyed this one. Do you have a link to the script or something? Man I'd love to just be able to read it for myself
That sure is a Great Story at that, It definitely Takes Place Between Thomas and Gordon & Edward and Gordon, and of course Edward got his own Branch Line at the End is Brilliant.👍
Actually, Edward and Gordon takes place before this story. At the end of Edward and Gordon, Edward was to be given a new paint job, which is where this story began.
@@tonybusch8771 But not without first advising Thomas against being late in shunting and playing tricks on the others so something like what Gordon did doesn't happen again.
Really, Gordon? Why did you pulling Thomas with your Express have to be why he was missing up till now? Also, didn't expect that he would be disciplined for it.
@@tonybusch8771 Gordon's trick could have had Thomas in the works having his running gear replaced, which could have make Sir Topham Hatt cross. Besides, Gordon did bully engines smaller than him, including Thomas and Edward. If engines are to be punished, Sir Topham Hatt is the one to do it as it's his railway. If someone did something wrong to me, I let it go and let justice do it's course. Whenever someone gets revenge on another, that's how feuds can start
@@patrickward163, Indeed. As we always know that it is natural to get angry, and, sometimes, to an explosive level if it’s about something that’s more than you can take or handle.
NO ONE!!!!!! He will temporarily put it out of service until Gordon’s punishment is over! Okay?! God, do I have to keep telling you the same thing over and over again? Jeez.
@@xaneckstein455 At the end of Edward and Gordon, Edward's driver promised him a new coat of paint the next day. At the start of this story, which took place the morning after Edward helped Gordon up the hill, the driver and fireman were about to give him that new coat. So you're wrong. Edward and Gordon took place before this story, which took place within Thomas and Gordon.
