Good to see a Gordon story taking place while Henry was getting a new shape. A logical reason Gordon was taking the kipper so slowly.

This is a great way to take place between "The Flying Kipper" along with "Whistles and Sneezes".

i liked it: it shows not to be in a rush then you cause someone's work to be even more hard for them yes it was mostly was James fault for getting the train to be late but very good story

Finally! A story in this series focusing on Gordon! This is a great nod to "Sliding Scales" and "Henry Gets the Express". 👍 The Flying Kipper? Just as important as the Express? The very idea! Next thing you know, Edward will suggest that Gordon pull dirty freight cars on branch lines... 😜 How was James to know the breaks would freeze out in the open? Nice job covering them with ice, by the way.

Now that was a very clever story. James and Gordon both learning how important the Flying Kipper is. It was a surprise to see how the brakes were frozen solid during the first part of the journey. I love how this takes place after Henry was sent away to have his overhaul at Crewe.

Well, well, well, another excellent story Callum, it’s wonderful that it took place while Henry was at Crewe having his rebuild and Gordon understood that fish don’t complain like passengers do when they are late, and it did teach James a lesson about the importance of listening to instructions and yes, the flying kipper is like an express train and very important too

Good one, Percy. Told Gordon a good thing or two there. Also, James wouldn't have known that the vans would freeze like that, considering his mood then.

I love this in between story! I think this gives much more context as to why Gordon was annoyed with Henry in Whistles & Sneezes. I mean, I'd be a bit annoyed if I had to take smelly fish for months on end!

Every time Gordon and James have to pull,push or shunt something related to Trucks or Goods Trains,they have one thing in there minds,they think "sometimes i wish i was in another Railway".

I love the story during the time Henry was sent to Crewe. I loved Gordon and James and their hatred towards fish and James always taking sides with Gordon. The other outcomes are in Gordon and James stories is that Gordon wins and James looses.

Amazing story, always love it when TheKipperRunsAgain comes in and he just always puts on a great performance.

This would indeed have to be another lost episode of Season 1 and take place between the events of The Flying Kipper and Whistles and Sneezes!

What a very interesting story, seeing what happens while Henry was sent to Crewe. Icey wheels could cause problems in cold weather.

Yet another great adaptation, Wardleton! It was pretty cool seeing the S1-style harbor that only ever appeared in "The Flying Kipper", and this did feel like a great nod to "Sliding Scales" and "Henry Gets the Express", like DarthWill said, with James having to take care of the vans and Gordon having to pull the Flying Kipper. Excellent job! Also, for some reason, I really like Chris/TheKipperRunsAgain's line delivery for James at 1:02 and 1:56. Granted, they're James's only lines in this story, but still, I really like how Chris conveys James's annoyance at having to deal with the fish vans. I'll have to try and get him to do an audio narration for a TTTE episode adaptation or original story of mine if any of those ever get off the ground. And by "get off the ground", I mean I actually need to write and post them.

Another thing I like to say about this, James got the goods train twice, because first he nearly got caught in the act of trying to take Henry’s special coal, which was Welsh coal and second he got the flying kipper train for a whole week for his punishment, that would be very funny
