Ive grown up in Los Angeles my whole life, specifically Downtown Los Angeles. I cant really compare my city to other because I dont really travel much. That the beauty of LA, is that you dont have to travel much. To my north I can go to the snowy mountains or to my south to the scorching beach all in one day. Or if I want Chinese,German,Mexican,Dominican,Italian,French,Spanish food, i can get it and I dont even have to travel to much. The city itself is quite diverse.

This is so cool to see! I still need to finish 2 years of high school but it's my dream to go to America once. So I decided to look for some different possibilities to spend my Gap year, and this is definitely what I want! I can't deal with the thought of not doing this thing, it's so exciting and you'll learn so much new and cool stuff! Hopefully, in 2 years, I can write another comment from Los Angeles.

Jakub Kolesár Well here’s the irony, we need to compete in TOEFL exam in order to study or live in America. Let’s presume you succeded the TOEFL, next step is to gather up the money which probably most of us don’t have. But these Language programs are a cheaper alternative. And most importantly an amazing ticket to citizenship. Not directly but this will going to help you alot.

EF has many different programs in Los Angeles. This video shows the EF Center in Redondo Beach where EF has programs from 16 years and up (16-18, 18-24, 25+). But EF also has programs in the LA area for younger students, at other EF centers. There are programs for 13-15 year olds. Best Matt @EF RU-vid Team

I stayed half a year in Oregon (High School Year program) and this vid just made me miss the US more :'( Now a friend of mine is in LA(Redondo Beach) and is doing such a program like shown in the vid :) It's a really good one!

Yes, it's perfect! Most students at EF Los Angeles are 18-24. A few are 16-18 and a few are 25-99 years old!

@dropjeeee - Hello there, actually EF Holland offers programs for 13-15, 16-18 and 18-24. And the 16-18 and 18-24 students go to the same school (and you can meet both ages at the school) so there is not a huge difference. Usually the older students are a bit more advanced in English and the younger students buy more organized activity packages. So actually if you go when you're 17 or 18 or 19 is almost the same because you will always meet both students 16-18 and 18-24. /Matt @EF

@scemcaal - Hello Carlo, the EF school is located in Redondo Beach (near the beach) which is a nice area. EF has 2 student residences and both are walking distance from the school, so also a nice area. The host families don't live walking distance so you have to take a bus, many live in Long Beach or Torrence so it's not THAT far away but with the traffic it can take maybe 30 or 45 minutes to get to the school. If you want a smaller town, look at EF Santa Barbara near LA! /Matt @EF

Hello there! On the EF Language Courses Abroad you can choose yourself which language school you want to go to: Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Honolulu, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, New York, Miami Beach or Atlanta. EF has another program called EF High School Year where you can only choose the region of the US where you want to study. Best Matt @EF RU-vid Team

@lllaauraaa - Hi there, this video is about a group of foreign language students studying English in Redondo Beach. They hang out a lot with the other students from school, and most of them are from Europe. So there was no thought on the racial mix, this is just how it happened to be at the school at the time. The film team followed them around to places where the students like to go, and I guess that Little Tokyo is a bit far for them and not a place where they choose to go that often.

Yes you study at EF's English school near Redondo Beach and you live either with an American host family or in one of EF's student residences. If you contact EF in your home country they can explain the different options to you! Good luck! Matt @EF RU-vid Team

@MegaUaeboy - Yes you can definitely study with EF in Los Angeles. EF has courses for 16-18 year olds, 18-25 year olds, and 25+ (25-100 year olds). In San Francisco we have a lot of adult students so if you want to be witha lot of students your age, maybe EF San Francisco is good for you. This video is amazing! I've been to CA but never to LA... I'm planning some studies series in US by the end of the year... I'd like to live in 2 cities to study, Maybe one from west and other around east... But I'm kind afraid about LA and the location of the school... because even though LA Sounds extremely amazing, heard many bad things about some parts of the city... Is the school located in a good place? What about the host families? And the hostel? Any answer I would appreciate! Carlo!
