A year ago, I discovered your channel. I was at the impass, not sure if It is wise to pursuit a new career as an Web dev or continue with Manufacturing. A year has gone by, although I am still have yet made it, but your video has ignite the drive in me once more. Thank you very much Update: I got a job as back-end dev and has started working, persistence and preservation paid off.
@@standylixgames7757 I started out learning webdev using Django, then learned how to create Api using DJRest framework, after that I learned how to deploy on AWS. However, current position required my know-how from Manufacturing domain and Data analytics more than my webdev experience.
@@standylixgames7757 Sorry for this very late reply, I learnt python-stack dev prior getting the job (data analytics focus like pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, web dev like Django, FastApi, SQL, HTML, CSS, DevOps skills suchas CICD pipeline building, Docker, Github Action, Gitlab etc). Edit: additionally this is my main account, thus I did not get notification of your comment, hope that you have found a position.
i am graduated several days ago in CS stream with the overall best project, for my final year project i didn't have a passion for coding feels like it's boring suddenly your channel start to recommend me 8-9 months ago you're such a inspiration for me after seeing these videos it's start to motivated me, thanks for uploading these kind of videos love you man i wish you're a good luck
i use neovim today due to his videos, i was wanting to see a 'full picture' of the art before i migrate to it, the starter scenario is boring, so it motivated me to change, aesthetics, man
It is. He's literally running the most basic bash commands, except the git clone at the beginning. The problem is not neovim, but the amount of things you're missing.
@devaslife,I've been waiting for a long time for your video. It would really help me if there's some way to get this setup in windows. I'm a windows user😭😭.. Hope you will consider my request and provide a guidance for fellow windows users.
55:35 :D u even cringe urself.. haha trying to get into neovim , vscode sluginess is pissing me off already not sure if to go with lunarvim or lazyvim , will be painful configuratiojn process :D i would still probably use arrows instead of hjkl , those keys literally arent homerow for me with tiny keyboard and my large hands... my arrows literally probably almost where hjkl for orinary people have haa ; , more like k l ö ä keys for me ; )
I've been a follower since the start of your channel and have used your Vim config for 1.5 years; it's become a habit. Thanks to you and theprimeagen for that. Your videos, featuring beautiful, peaceful places and the soothing sound of your keyboard, are something I really enjoy. Keep up the fantastic work! I'm also a fan of your blogs. Great job!
Always excited whenever I get a notification that there's a new video (including your blog channel). Watching this has got me thinking about my own setup and seriously thinking about trying out a Neovim distro as well. Looking forward to the next upload!
This is the most beautiful and atmospheric video I have ever seen on programming related content. What an absolute work of art, makes me want to go to Japan again. Also, the content is really useful! Fastest sub ever. Meccha suteki desu yo! Suisu kara, otsukaresamadeshita (gomenasai, kono pasokon niha, kanji/kana ki-bo-do ha nai n desu kedo)
My favorite ASMR to work to. The rapid typing somehow makes me want to work and be more productive. Switches make a very nice sound but the main thing is definitely the speed. I've tried listening to other programming ASMRs but their slow typing irritates me. It's a shame the wind makes my eardrums almost pop but nevertheless I still keep coming back to this vid. Keep up the great work, love your content.
What i applied - Enable Undercull - Install Extras(by Lazy Extras) - Noice - Incline - bufferline - lualine - Customize startup logo It was very helpful! Thank you!!
2 years ago you inspired me to try Neovim. Since then I managed to switch to Neovim completely after a few months and my workflow has become more and more terminal based.
For all new starters I would recommend avoiding too many custom keymaps unless you're 100% you want this and double checked it's not something that vim comes by default. I feel like some people go so crazy with customising that if you would give them barebone vim to work on, even just edit couple files they would struggle to navigate around and do the simplest stuff - it's a trap! :D
can you help me set up the solarized-osaka theme ? i configured it but it doesn't look like exact solarized osaka , some colors are different for example the back ground is transparent but grey in color not the base color solarized-osaka uses. If i type :help it opens a pane below and it shows the correct solarized-osaka color but not transparent though and editor color is grey . I dont know how to get it working.
@@0xcoffee427ensure termguicolors is set correctly and your term is also set well. Need more info, that said you could use tokyonight by folke to test if it is you or the plugin
I have recently started configuring my own neovim setup. I took a lot of ideas from you. Also I have to admit, I wasn't expecting that much production from a neovim guide. It was a calming experince. Thank you for all the effort. Keep up the good work.
One of the best dev channels hands down! You inspired me to try nvim and now I'm using it! Also like your unique aesthetic style of content! Keep it up, amazing job!
Руслан братан) I just start learning C++ in and I use VS. I learning in Stepik, maybe you know about it. And also start learning English and as you can see I wrote this sentence without using translator. Yeaaahhhhh
This is what i called the samurai of coding. The location, the vibe, everything. Keep up the good work bro.. keep us posted with this kind of posting. I'm using your video as an ASMR background noise to keep me consentrated while i'm coding
I learnt about C-w in this video and it really seems like a game changer for me, not normal mode C-w manage windows, but in insert mode C-w deletes a word. I think this is from emacs because this also works on my shell which probably uses emacs bindings. This is amazing as I would no longer do something like in a comment to delete the comment string o - new line ESC _ - first non whitespace character C - change line and would just do o - new line C-w - delete comment string that's an entire 2 keys saved It also works in the cmdline when im doing a lsp rename i could just do C-w instead of just tapping backspace a bunch of time because ctrl or alt-backspace doesnt work normally. I really like looking at how other people use (n)vim and see what will be the best way to navigate for me.
Man - I don't even have to read the comments to know that someone commented about the way you shoot you videos. Keep up the good work, my man. It was the first time that I watched a IT video with a vlog vibe. Really - I'm amazed by the vid. New sub here.
@@klirmio21 I can't speak for the person above, but it's been one year for me. It's been a complete game changer for my productivity. I can't give one or two big reasons to convince you switch to NeoVim. I CAN say that NeoVim offers thousands of teeny improvements that collectively make VSCode feel obsolete (to me). A few highlights: Vim Hotkeys are a godsend, and NeoVim lets you expand on them x100. I don't reach for my mouse anymore. VSCode offers a "Vim" plugin which I recommend you start with, but navigating the VSCode IDE still necessitates a mouse in many ways, and the VSCode hotkey editor is quite limited. This is where NeoVim really shines. Neovim is lightweight with almost 0 startup times. Linting/parsing/autocomplete/syntax highlighting becomes incredibly snappy/fast. This might not matter to you unless you're working on very large-scale projects where VSCode starts to struggle. Neovim workspaces can be uniquely personal to you. For example: VsCode has one file-explorer option - it can render left, or right. Nvim has tons of open-source, community made plugins for every minute feature, that you can install and configure exactly to your liking. All this in mind, learning how to setup and manage a neovim configuration daunting for beginners. The ongoing meme with neovim is that you're so busy customizing your editor, that you won't get any actual programming done. For me, this isn't a problem. Last year I followed a neovim video similar to this one, and over time I've made many small tweaks to make it my own. I recommend you give it a try!
Silent genius at work! Your ability to effortlessly convey complex coding concepts without uttering a word is truly awe-inspiring. Teach on, coding maestro!
Hi sir❤ good morning from here....3 weeks ago I found your channel! And I just fell in love with the passion with which you teach! This Video is EXACTLY what I have been praying you make ever since then! I even tried sending you an email(which didn't go through unfortunately) pleading you make a video like this... So happy to finally see the video! More Blessings Boss!!🎉
This is a format that fits well. No talking, just working, displaying the keypresses is really useful, I am in the habit of pressing "h/j" to go up line numbers. It's a habit Id like to replace with g+line number of number+h/j
I have been waiting for this video for sooo long!! I love this so much. Thank you for the immense effort to share for free with the community. I have been using the Vim extension for VSCode enough now that I feel comfortable making the switch and this video was just at the perfect time!
I turned it on and forgot to watch because apparently the sound of a mechanical keyboard clicking in the background helps me focus on what I should actually be doing 😂
Ele foi o que me apresentou a esse mundo do terminal também kkkkkkk to usando o neovim já tem mais de 1 ano agora, uso pra tudo e não pretendo mudar de jeito nenhum
Yesterday I sent into your channel and saw you have not posted in so long! I thought something happened to you! Glad you are back with another great video! Your content is the best when it comes to the world of programming.
Your intro got me smiling alot😃, as a programmer and a student, your videos keep me motivated to continue working when i get a breakdown in my progress
Hello sir, your videos have inspired me a lot in several of my projects. You've indirectly taught me a great deal about some development patterns that I use daily. Please, keep up your excellent work.
First video I see on this channel and couldn't help to drop a comment saying that, a part from the content that its amazing, the quality of the video from the technical perspectiva is just overwhelming. Thank you so much for your job.
Quit my job, starting a new one. Will be watching this as I move from Angular to React/React Native and Linux to MacBook for working. Really hope development is just as nice on Mac with Neovim, so far it’s the same other than horrible brew as the slowest package manager I’ve ever used.
Magnificent vid. Awesome journey through a truly professional, lightweight and robust developer environment. I can't wait to give this badboy a rip on Monday and see how beautifully the angular project is going to build over here and I can't wait to see the code in this glorious osaka theme you shared with us. Thank you!
Wow, I am having the same issues with my neovim configuration and since moved to using VSCode instead of NeoVIm. Thank you Takuya for endorsing LazyVIM will check it out
Glad to see you’re back! Loved following the walkthroughs in all your previous tutorials. I’m making the transition to nvim so the timing on this tutorial was perfect!!
Thank you for the nice video! A few tips to type even faster: - Try to keep your fingers almost touching the keys at all times (shorter distance = faster); - Rise your wrists from the table (avoids limiting your reach); - Use only the minimal force necessary (avoids fatigue for you AND for the keys)
Great video, learned a lot and installed lazyvim/neovim on WSL. One video recommendation - not to have the mic on the desk next to the keyboard. The desk thumping took away that sweet key press sound.
I might have a brain problem (or something ahahah), but there's something soothing watching (and hearing) someone coding/typing skillfully like you have done in this video. A very welcome break from all the "yell type" dev vloggers out there. thank you for sharing.
I have never seen such a setup. Dope and Anime AF. Developer on Relaxed Steroids (if that's a thing). Really love the room and environment you placed your work laptop in.
