Awesome awesome awesome vid! I have a presentation about this next week and this vid helped me understand the subject better than anything else I could find on the web.
Hello, thank you very much for all your videos they are a great help and boost in confidence! I was just wondering if atherosclerosis only occurs in arteries? thank you.
+bob woerner well, since nicotine enters the lungs (and then the blood) via the inhaled smoke (as does CO), I would say their effect would be less if the smoke is not inhaled.
so i can assume that even though it may not be 100 safe the chances of damaging the heart and the arteries are very small . is any nicotine absorbed through the mouth by not inhaling ?and if so is it enough to affect the blood? or to cause a rise in blood pressure ?
I appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge on RU-vid. However, I was searching for a quick explanation of how smoking affects the cardiovascular system. I didn't need a detailed review of atherosclerosis or a review of stroke. You do not address smoking until a full 15 minutes into this video, and your discussion of the effects of smoking lasts only 4 minutes. As a student my time is limited, so if you wish to help students who are searching RU-vid for explanations of various topics, please consider whether the title of your video matches what you are speaking about. Consider uploading shorter, more specific videos. Thank you for sharing though, Dr. Bhavsar.
