Hi,I know its off topic, but could you tell me where I'm Going wrong, I’m using Halion Sonic7 in Cubase12, I have setup Halion With 3 inputs, the main input 1 and 2 Midi tracks input 2& 3, I have loaded 3 sounds, I have assigned the outputs I/P main to output main I/P 2 to o/p 2 I/p 3 to o/p 3 inside Halion, I have in the inspector on the Halion tabs assigned the correct out puts , I play Midi on input 2, Midi track it shows up in the mixer going out on the activated second channel everything as expected. To clarify, I have 3 separate inputs going to 3 separate outputs working fine, now I want to render in place one of the midi tracks MIDI tracks, I select the MIDI track, highlight the MIDI track and render, what I actually get then is the 3 tracks rendered, my track has the correct data the other two are empty, is it possible to render a single track in Halion Sonic 7, hope you can explain this anomaly. I hope that you also do a video on the rest of the chord tracks capability, thanks for your videos cheers
I’ve never really used render in place with multiple inputs and outputs on the same VSTi. Have you tried asking this question in the Cubase forums? On the chord track videos, I’ve done most of them now. Just one little piece missing.
@@LanewoodStudios thanks for your response it’s much appreciated, I’ll ask the question, but after trying various ways, Ibdont think on a Halion sonic, it’s possible to render 1 track in isolation., my methods now is to load a single Halion get the MIDI how I want it render, then disable the Halion hide the MIDI track, and repeat for how many sounds from Halion I want it seems a long drawn out method but 🤷♂🤷♂
@@njm20music yes if I use a VSTi like Kontakt (similar to what Halion Sonic does) I just use one instrument per Kontakt instance. Kontakt can also do multiple sounds in one instance on different midi channels, but given the power of computers nowadays it’s not really necessary anymore.
i HATE it so muchh (Cubase Chord Assistant and Chord Track) . . . when I eventually realized that it does NOTTT allow us to choose THE VOICING of the chord 😮💨🤥🙄🙄 !! Basically it shows you in a little space of its window the VOICING (actual keys on the piano keyboard that are BEING pressed to PLAY the chord). You are Not allowed to even click there to MOVE the octave of ONE note from the left side to the RIGHT side (one octave higher) 😰 After climbing all the way to the TOP of the mountain . . . the Cubase Chord Assistant and Chord Track FAILED me and DISAPPOINTED ME DISMALLY at the VERY LAST stage of its innovative chord-creation method when I could Not specify the chord voicing to remove NOTES from the chord 🙄🙄 i then learned that i can do this in the Chorder midi insert, but Nope again . . . the Chorder now is a SILENT chord creator midi insert where they (Steinberg) have completely FORGOTTEN for the past 8 years, to enable some kind of INSTANT preview of the chords you create there 🙄😮💨🤫. in the Chorder, you now have to work BLINDFOLDED in COMPLETE SILENCE while designing your chords (NO ONE thought of this being musical plugin and PULEEEEEZ put a live chord preview button there that we can CLICK 😰😰) SADLY i had to STOP using both of them and i went to RipChord to create my chords there. it is ABSURD to have a computer/machine forcing you to VOICE chords of YOUR song in its PRESCRIBED voicing style 🙄🙄

Hi, a question... I have a project in Cubase where I create an INTRO (4 chords) with three vst tracks. Then I continue with VERSE of 4 chords and 6 other vst instruments. How can I not play the 3 vst instrument tracks added later.....at the beginning of the INTRO? Thank you
I inserted the voice track (from Media Bay) following your instructions and combining the track with chords with Vari Audio and everything was ok. I always combined a guitar track from the media bay or even the keyboard with the same procedure... but strangely the sound I hear is out of tune and fluctuating, why?
@@LanewoodStudios No.For example, I have a violin/orchestra midi track and I want to follow the track with chords as you did with the wave voice... what should I do? Is it better to transform it into a wave and then apply the chord track?
