Definitely looks like a beautiful plane to donate to a 3 month new flyer girl! 😀 Might just need this one for myself to get into the RC craze. Thanks guys for really boosting our interest! Jocelyn put together the Bigfoot yesterday and prepped it for flight once the weather improves.
Finally they made the UMX version full sized. 😂 That top hatch is the best improvement. These flaps are a huge improvement too. Gear improvements are always good too. I'm probably going to buy one. They need to make a biplane version of the timber. Maybe have the low wings a mirror profile so the tips curve up instead of down to really lock in the forward stability. If only Horizon had the funds to develop such a beautiful masterpiece...
Kinda a little brother Draco tho the TT Evolution is a stunt plane Eflight is stepping up their already top notch planes & edf's great shakedown Ryan 😉👍🛩
Just picked up the one out of your shop today, not sure about some of the clubs in the area but would love the grab some of that info from you, I'll be back!
Super stoked to get my hands on one eventually. Love the changes..especially the hatch! Digging the red and white as well! Great flying as always. Love staying up to date with your videos!
I just got the timber turbo...assembled and paired it to a spectrum dxe (also paired with dx6), and everything checks out working fine...except the flaps. I cannot get flaps go work, trying both transmitters. I am a rather experienced r/c operator of planes, boats, drones, etc, but I admit my knowledge of 'avionics' . . . things of an electronic nature can be fleeting. So anyone got any tips on what I may be overlooking, or unaware of, or how to diagnose the problem would be hugely appreciated....thanks ! !
@@PilotRyanMedia ...yes, I finally figured out how to program ( basically somewhat) my transmitter to enable flaps thanks to the aid of the video...was that yours? I can't remember but if so, huge thanks...if not , thanks to who presented it, and regardless, thank you Ryan for replying! I've flown the plane twice so far off the grass runway I made in a pasture, which it sure doesn't need much if. I LOVE IT !!! Excellent plane! I'm trying to decide if to install the wing slats - I do prefer slow versus fast flying, and since I have 2 lakes on the property I'm eager to try the pontoons. Would the slats be a good idea for flying off water? Kinda leaning towards that..let me know what you think if you don't mind. Again, thanks for your input. . . . C Reich
watch temp of esc did the esc mod so hopefully no overheating plus ive updated my esc may factory reset for higher rates or probably go stock but herd 13x4 2 bladed is better for performance and less amp draw
Hey Ryan.I gotta ask if you or anyone else reading this that have the TT Evolution have the same issues. This is my 2nd weekend flying this new bird. And, whats happening is within 2-3 minutes of flying i get a High Temp warning. My ESC is getting as high 210 degrees. Last weekend flying it for the first time is when I had the problem it got so hot that the heat melted the glue where the battery sits in the plastic tray. No worries I reglued and continued to fly. New fresh battery and again 180 degrees within 3 minutes of flying. Could it be a bad Esc? Im running a 4000 battery. This weekend I cut a small hole in the bottom of the nose to allow more airflow but still got high temps of 180...
@@PilotRyanMedia I just discovered that there is a Bulletin out on the Horizon website for the Draco. Basically there is a MOD for the ESC. Thanks for help.
For the price I think there are better planes out there. Eflight seems to over price their planes. And why did they put a tri prop on it? I hate tri props. Hard to find and too expensive.
How slow are the servos? I wanted to rip on my new Trojan 1.1 m but I can't pull off fast sport flying maneuvers like my original red and white.... I can but it looks slow and sloppy like a simp flyer
This has a Spektrum™ Avian™ 60A Brushless Smart ESC .. All my electronics and radio are Tactic brand. Will my Tactic radio and receiver work connected to that ESC ?
Yes, ESC will work with whatever receiver you put in a pnp version. The BNF spektrum version receiver may not work with your transmitter though if it is not dsmx. The ESC will work with Most any receiver...... ;)
No, you cannot fly an RC airplane with the real-flight 9.5 "transmitter". This thing is a game controller with sticks and switches to control the simulator. Just without transmitter and electronics. But it is a perfect copy of a Spektrum radio transmitter. So you can learn to use the sticks and switches without looking at your hands.
Good grief dude you almost wrecked it. You should have been off the ground in about 2-3ft not the entire runway lmao. This is a high lift STOL bush plane, not a jet.
Am I the first to say, Oh no, not another Timber. ha ha. But really, being the first top feeder Timber is nice. 4 S and lots of fun it is on my short short list but I need a plane now for Father's day that ships now. You can't not have fun with this plane.
Awesome vid as always Pilot Ryan! Looks like a fun one for the lake maybe too. Hey! Wouldn't it be NEAT if Horizon Hobby and Eflite actually had the models available when you review them???!!! Just found out today the 80mm f-16 ship date is pushed back to mid June now...... About Done with Eflite new releases and the long wait times. Hey HH, maybe release these review vids After you have some aircraft available......yeah,....that would be cool ;) In other words, your planes rock, your sales and marketing approach just frustrates loyal Eflite pilots though.....so I putting it out there. Grrr lol
Another Timber with much better paint scheme and visibility. A much better battery compartment. Obviously much larger lipos fit in. But I think the motor stayed the same. Is the new Timber now heavier, that you need 60 A ESC ?!? A video with comparison between this one and the Draco would be great.
It's a TUNDRA.... top feeder... Suspension...... Me playing devil's advocate a tundra with a spektrum rx with safe..... The difference is???? Not saying I don't like this kite I just being objective Brian
There's a huge difference in size and features. Not to mention the TT Evo is much faster and can do more things. CC S2 is also good but not as good as the TT Evo.
Question I purchased the KAVAN air filled tires. I plan on putting them on my Draco for less bounce. Have you had any experience with these said tires? Good choice?
