Thanks again to you and your team! I am 61 yo 220lb x windsurfer who wanted to try Wing Foiling on Maui at Ho Aloha park last week. I watched this video and took 2 x 1 hr efoil lessons in Maui w/ e-foil Hawaii after watching your other efoiling video several times. Then I took a 2 hour Wing Foil lesson in Maui in light winds and after that, I was on my own and I borrowed a 150L 8ft SUP, 4M Wing, with a Go Foil Foil Maliko. I am happy to report that Damien's statement theory/experience is accurate and efoiling indeed a gateway faster foil learning on Wing Foil board. When Wing Foiling, I was able to stay on foil with the skills that transferred from efoilling. My WF instruction on Maui was recommending being pulled by a boat and was unfamiliar with the use of efoils to training for WF. I now think that being pulled behind a boat to learn foiling is a bit obsolete because in efoiling, the rider has the speed controls and this critical part of doing touch and goes and adjusting for chop etc and it is easy to repeat and work on things the rider needs to improve on. Thanks to your other videos I was actually up on foil and Wing Foiling and I was having a blast. I can't even explain the feeling but you know what I mean.

Instead of saying, "It's all ball bearings nowadays." We can say, "It's all foil boarding nowadays," I'm still waiting for Lift prices to come down. (cheapest guy in the world)

Fantastic videos Damien!!! Have you considered posting video lesson for interm/advanced riders? For example, tips and tricks to getting up the fastest on the 4'4" in choppy water (particularly for bigger guys), how to advance to hairpin turns (do you grab a rail), how best to power full larger surf, how best to fully glide and steal wake/ride waves and when to power on, etc.?

Here is a very important video not covered elsewhere. How do I feel what foiling is like so I can focus on the difficult parts of sailing a wing. How can I get that crack cocaine rush of foiling to motivate me to endure the winging walk of shame. It is interesting how my winging instructor had never efoiled but recommended I get pulled behind a boat. I think a good video would be to compare boat foiling with efoiling as a gateway to wing foiling and stack the deck by getting an older guy give his opinion. Discuss the positives and negatives of the efoil gateway. Thanks again for this very important video I'm am so much more confident now that I have done some basic foiling. This was some much easier than getting a boat with an instructor.

www.liftfoils.com is the leader in the industry! I recommend them 100% and the 5'6 is the goto size for the average person with the 200 classic wing.

Hi Damien, I am a 67 year old kitesurfer and just learning to foil. I am very tempted to buy an e foil, I weigh 88 kgs, and will also move to the wing at some point. Would you recommend the 5 or 5.6 for me? Do you e foil often?

Karim, I would recommend a 5'6 with a 200 wing its a great ride and honestly a game changer when learning to foil! I ride all the time I can, its so fun! Makes those non windy days magic! You will love it....
