been using the same control scheme since ISS series, not about to switch to fifa controls now. R1 will always be my run button. don't care about no adaptive trigger functions, can't even feel it in online matches which is basically all I play

Really helpful thank you. I started playing the game today and was pleasantly surprised. However is anyone else having other players quit after beating them, only to discover the game doesn't even register your win? Honestly playing online seems like a waste of time until this is fixed...

I'd also like to know this. I swear I'm at 99% where when that happens, it's when I'm up ATM. Then all of a sudden the internet gives way? Very annoying. Has even happened on my last match that would've promoted me, but no, I get stuck with next game against a modder or legend spammer.

i just love playing efootball , since the update, I find that the legend card is way to OP , facing opponent spaming legends is a pay to win , after the season 1 has ended iam sure all the players will be maxed out with 99 or 100 level 😂

I downloaded efootball just after I got my PS5 at Xmas...played a few games and just wasn't feeling it all, the layout, colours etc... but seeing there's a big improvement with it gameplay etc...Just wondering if I dive back in and give it a second chance is it worth it? Is myclub done? If so what's the new mode and how will I be starting from the bottom? And I'm assuming there's no option file? Any feedback will be nice but I'm sure I'm going to fire it up again tomorrow 🙃 everyone deserves a second chance.

Definitely worth having another go as I didn't like it at all either, and kept playing PES 21. I wouldn't worry too much about where you are as you get a load of GP and 300 coins for having the old PES or Lite version, and then in the PS Store you can download another 300 coins and free GP for free for having PS Plus. You'll have only missed out on the possibility of getting Beckham, Viera, Carlos, Forlan and some other good players from the get go so it might be worth saving some of them coins for when they come back around. I'd definitely recommend playing it again though, very much improved and I've not been back on PES since apart from the co-op with friends.

I played with R2 as dash since PES 2018 so I'm all good. I changed team mate press to square but the press this year leaves massive wholes in defence so I moved it to back to R1 and shoulder barge to square. Defence is easier with L2 & square combination

I’ve been playing more people recently that the ball sticks to their feet when I try to pass. It’s incredibly annoying and I’m not sure what they are doing. I’ve seen you do a video where you press X but you are talking about Match Up. Have you changed your settings since this video?

Spoony, do you have an answer why my opponents players are magnetically intercepting my through balls? Is this the AI or is it a well timed match up press or is it holding X like you do in some videos? Have you changed your match up to X instead of L2?

same mate, that's the only change I made, it allows you to super cancel without your teammates charging out.

@@cibulis5347 you can cancel teammate pressure by selecting the player that's pressing. I just don't like the blue arrows that show you what direction your teammate is pressing in. I think it's pointless and distracting.

Why does the ball passing next to my players when im playing efootball. Why don't they just intercept the ball. And somethimes the ball goes straight between my players like if they are a ghost. This game is deceiving and making his own decision about the winner. Is this fair??

Curious to know whether you've tried manual passing? I'm a manual player and it's impossible as the AI repeatedly selects the wrong (in any normal person's opinion) receiver.

I like it actually. They fixed the first time lob shot with L1 and circle. When I tried that on PES 2021, it would switch the player XD The switching isn't too bad for me. Have had some occurrences where it was pretty bad, but not too bad if I really aim for that player. I'm a seasoned FUMA player tho.

@@SpoonyPizzas I went back to PES 2021 (which I'm not a huge fan of, admittedly) and realised they've taken a big step backwards on manual controls. Unplayable in eFootball.

@@RTD1983 yup. The target locking is genuinely atrocious. Makes it feel pointless when your move breaks down AGAIN because they've selected players half way across the pitch (including offside ones). I think it's because the targeting logic is derived from preferences for high assist competitive play, where the emphasis (unfortunately) is too often punting it up the field as quick as possible. It's a totally botched logic for manual. I think FUMA players have to face that this game - its entire conception as a GaaS F2P cash cow entity, with no offline depth, broken manual passing, and no passing filters - is not for them. It's a great shame what they've done to this once great franchise, though the writing has been on the wall for some time.

@@SpoonyPizzas Not using manual and meter is on. Just never goes purple for "stunning" anything. Command list says "R2 all the way" and then shot, pass, etc but yet to work for me, unsure why. Loving the game as a much needed change from 2021. Wish there was something we could do to trade, sell our unwanted cards/players on my team. 3 goalies over an 83 and it just feels like a huge waste and dead end for DT mode

change the sprint to r1/rb and then see the magic.....95% u will get stunning shot/pass/cross/lob everything...press rb and shoot button at the same time

@@thebawa5983 It was the timing, I'm a fool I guess. I thought it was R2 all the way and then the pass or shoot button. 35 secs into the spoony tutorial and I realized it. That being said, I'm not a huge fan. Id take a low ground shot over "stunning" anything

@@RussRants44 fair point but stunning shots saved by GK has very low probability and stunning crosses and passes are much accurate and high speed...try it foryourself..it feels good

Lol I didn't even take the time to read the standing tackle info. I thought that you really had to choose between shoulder barge and standing tackle, but now I know that I can just press X or L2 twice. 🤦‍♂️

@@SpoonyPizzas I don't think I'm ever going to use the X button for pressure tho, so the button wil be totally dedicated to the standing tackle for me. Would be nice if I could do a standing tackle with a single press in this case.

@@SpoonyPizzas, I have and it it still doesn't help. The only way that would completely stop it happening would be to remove teammate press from R1 or R2 to something like circle, but I want to try and keep the contols as they are because some of the others don't work as well if you change them.

@@M27v007 only a win-at-all-costs bum thinks that. Like somebody who'll use every cheese, exploit, sweaty trick just because it's possible. Have some self-respect. The days of good sportsmanship in this kind of game seem sadly over, since the only thing people care about is winning and one-upmanship, not playing good, engaging football that they had to learn to play well.

Shame to see that playing online has turned you into a PA2 guy now! It might be easiest because all the other guys who don't like thinking about where to pass do it, but that's no good reason imo. I'm still FUMA these days, and it's a blessing and a curse online. The game has SHOCKING target locking problems for manual passes. Genuinely gamebreaking stuff. So I can understand moving to Level 3 (old PA1). But yeah Level 2 is just stabilisers on bike stuff. Always lamented it. And that "pros" use the two highest levels of assist. It's a joke. The biggest joke is of course that Konami have such assistance in the game for competitive play, and also that they haven't implemented any passing filter this year.

The problem is...default level is 1 and I'm facing absolute noobs spamming ground through balls from their backline and somehow it's going through to their striker. Sure I can stop most of them, but somehow some will get through. Level 3 is such a disadvantage online. As for FUMA, that hasnt been truly FUMA since 2017. Even in PES 2021 - passes will curl conveniently to your players feet (with the right power ofc). They need after-touch like in ISS but implemented better for responsiveness....but yeah FUMA sucks on eFootball 2022.

@@SpoonyPizzas it's always been the case that PA1 was at a disadvantage online because all the myClubbers move to PA2/3. But that's never been a good enough reason to join the crowd imo. It's the logic of "everyone else does it so I've got to as well" which sustains that norm of high assistance online, after all. As for FUMA not really being FUMA - I don't have that experience particularly. It's certainly been a much nicer way to play for years now, in any case. Excepting eFootball, given the target locking error.

@@janguvpes7518 Try FUMA on 2017 and you'll see how much the assistance is less. I played FUMA on video without realising I was playing FUMA in one video until I took a shot. There's no way that happens in 2017. Can't remember which video it is....but surely you notice lob passes and throughballs with the right power curl into your players path? It's definitely more forgiving and the AI pathing for FUMA through-balls is atrocious on 2021.
