that part when Efren taught the young female kid to aim where he was tapping his pool stick and hit the right side of her cue ball was an absolute gem. the kid went like "whoa! i did that???!" what a legend and an inspiration. truly the GOAT.
Efren is a man of focus, commitment and sheer will. Something you know very little about. I once saw him pocket three balls in a bar...using a pencil, with a fucking pencil!....
He wasn't telling the woman to not listen to Efren. If you knew the context of the situation, the lady about to make the shot was torn & somewhat confused because one person was telling her one thing & Efren was telling her another. So the guy asked her "don't listen to him?" but what he meant to say was "What do you mean don't listen to him? Do what he says & ignore the other advice". Listen closely & you'll notice that the statement was in the manner of a question. I think everyone in that room knew who Efren Reyes was. No one was telling the lady to not listen to the greatest pool player in history.
Tricks shots on pickup games are good and all, but Reyes made a living doing trickshots on championship games against pro players. The balls on him must have been enormous.
He really did spend most of his childhood near a billiard/pool hall owned by his uncle in Manila. He started there at the age of 5 years old, cleaning the hall and sometimes sleeping on the billiard tables. He wasn't tall enough to reach the pool table, so he used to stand on Coca-Cola cases in order to learn to play.
i seen him beat an amateur player using only kick shot .. no banking just kick shot.. his imagination of angle is really amazing you wont see anyone like him.. they tried to copy him but he invented those shots you can now see in the professional match
Efren is already expert of all the angles of that table, i dont know how to play billiard, soo to all of you playing billiard out there, just learn every angle of the table, its easy if you use your knowledge, Efren can do it, so you can do it too, or maybe more😁God Bless You all mga sugarol!😂
