Perfect description. My husband Kurt idolizes him. I watched my husband break and run 17 consecutive games of 9 ball... I told him if he wanted to go pro... do it. He said "I love the game because it is fun, once it is my job, I lose the fun and become a tyrant." I shook my head but understood. He only played 6 hours a week... but never lost. Imagine if he played every day. He is content with going to pool halls in the area once a week and making all the sharks look bad. Lol They refuse to gamble with him.🤣

@@ruthiematteson6827 I feel exactly the same way. I used to be pretty good, and have had wins over better shooters than me. Sometimes they'd say, "want to make it interesting?" (meaning playing for money). I always said, it is already interesting. I play pool, I don't work pool. The bet changes the whole sport. Your husband is an amazing shooter, Several close calls, but I have never broken and ran a 9 ball game once!

@@mayorb3366 my husband says thank you very much... and his advice for you to start making break and runs on a regular basis: worry less about the ball going in. Concentrate on mastering your position. The rest takes care of itself. If you can put whitey within a few inches of your intended spot, you will start marking runouts faster than you ever imagined. Mostly because you will be leaving easier shots... but you will also get a smoother stroke from that practice. My husband talks too fast 🤣 I hope I got it all. Lol

Look up some of Ronnie O'Sullivan's stuff too. Kind of the opposite type of player in ways but just as magical 👍

@@dawidrichardson8103 at 3:56? You better put nothing but right English on the ball from a long distance shot. Chances are better with a draw. There’s only about 3 ways to get the ball back with ball control without pure luck. It’s either with a draw , bottom left ,or just straight up right English and bring the ball back 3 rails. Top spin will not be enough to bring the ball back at that angle. From that distance draw with force is your best and easiest way to bring that ball back. If you use bottom left you don’t have to hit the ball as hard but it will effect the direction of the cue ball going towards the 6 ball.
