It's not how much EFREN'S CUE STICK cost it's the ability, skill, & talent to execute the play & the impossible way to bank the ball. Yes, you may have the expensive cue stick but you're lacking of everything that EFREN possesses being the "MAGICIAN"... ❤️
He has a weakness, everyone does. He's just wows you so much you can't see, just like the flaws and red flags someone has before you get in a relationship with them, but you too blind by "love". You love Efren
Trillions like and best comment for you because you are best on Earth and follower respect you,we need videos in Real 120fps or 240fps 4K,8K and Sound in FullHD Surrounded
The young players in Philippines are so good now that they give Reyes weight. I play with some guys who have played him back home, and they are crazy good.
They give him weight because he’s old now. Also, getting as good as Efren back in the 80s and 90s is way harder back then because they didnt have the knowledge, equipment, and competition as we do now.
This was back before efren really got into his confidence in American tournaments. People had no idea he'd be one of the best players of all time at this point
@@johntallanger4036 anyone can win or lose on a given day......yes Reyes lost..but he was not run over...and he certainly was the better player as time has shown....so grow up...see and say things truthfully or people will never stop laughing at you behind your back...
@@johntallanger4036 Better player!?! Are you kidding!?! So tell us? What was their career score against each other? Since, ol Keith here is the "better" player? You clown azz, f**k! 😂😂😂
@@jadezee6316 There was a couple year stretch where no one in the world could be McCready. He actually offered everyone at the u.s. open the 7 ball and no one took it.
Watching this video you wouldn't guess that in the 1980's Keith was the best 9-Ball player in the world. I saw Little Al quit after Keith beat him getting the seven, Keith then gave him the six and beat him. Little Al then took apart his cue and said, "I'm not gong to ask for the five". Keith NEVER missed shot during the session.
keith is only Average player to many Filipino pool players not included in the category of Strickland, Morris, Varner, Immonen ,Archer etc to name a few...naka tsamba lang siya kay Efren noon minsan pero SISIW na SISIW lang si keith kumpara kay Efren ,Bustamante in Orcullo,Corteza,Parica at marami pang magagaling dito sa PINAS hehehe!!!😊😊
Little did Keith know at the time…. the “little man” snarky comment…. The Magician would be the greatest pool player in history and Keith you would be forgotten…. Long live the MAGICIAN
All real players know that Keither came up like Efren- sleeping on pool tables and on the floor of the pool hall. None of us will ever forget him- and the unique way he moved. Efren taught us how to move- but no one- not even Efren - could copy his game. I played with a player named Ward Williams- he had a spark of ether- but not the same.
Players from this era were a lot more brash. This was a time before the internet and cell phones. These guy's were hardened road players playing is real dodgy joints befitting of the pool hall stereotype of the time. Today's players are much more sterilized as are the professional tournaments of today.
I use to watch these two play each other almost every night at hadtimes in bellflower. A lot of one pocket. Also efren would back Jose Parica against Keith alot
Free admission [aside from the sweaters] to match-ups like those must have been one of the best deals on earth! So how did the Earthquake fair in the Hardtimes pit against the Magician and Amang?
@@johntallanger4036 another dumb comment.....every top player from Earl..to the Miz..here!...has said Reyes is at least as good as any player in the world.most say he is the best......goes to my point about how your bias prevents you from seeing the truth...and my other point about people laughing at you behind your back.....
@@johntallanger4036 Efren is widely known as the best player to ever play the game. If you don't like to hear it, that's too bad. Welcome to reality lol
More to life than just class. I love McCready playing style more and came to his his liveness. Efren pretty dead with his class and doesn't keep me entertained as a person. I'll go to sleep like Luther Lassiter did against Cisero
@@godjhaka7376 Efren is by consensus the best player, and I'd be willing to bet that he's the most watched player too. At least going by RU-vid hits and on Pool vids.
@@patrickreynolds9853 right. and guys like keith either roll in with people that will handle them or shoot them dead. no one with a brain is scared of people who fist fight.
@@blu3collar949 He was THE greatest player ever!!! Pro, amatuer, hustler, snooker, WHATEVER your feeble mind wants to believe. Denial...it's NOT a river in Egypt.
@@blu3collar949 Run him out of a pool hall crying for mama, huh? BWAAAAA HAA HAA HAA HAA HAA HAA!!!!! That's why no one challenged him, right??? 😆😅😂 You would know about the crying, I see.
The referee blew the call at 21:55. Notice where the five hits the rail. Not possible Efren hit it first. If he did, the five ball would not have hit there because that would mean he cut it beyond 90 degrees which isn't possible. Keith ends up winning the game on a bad call.
That 15$ cue efren used is actually a $10 cue which his friend ceaser morales gave him when he was coming to the US. Ceaser morales was also the name efren used during his first apperences in the US
I smoked crack with Kieth in a motorhome at the back parking lot of Hardtimes Bellflower. He’ll pocket your lighter and switch your Brillo. 🎭🤪🚨 NOTHIN NICE 🔥
McCready is a lot more entertaining to watch. And he shoots much faster than Efren ever could. Keith got a mind for angles like Fats or Eddie Taylor. Fats would just get to the table and shoot, no 20 seconds of aiming like Efren and others
@@bnhamilton It's not about stop action, it's about physics. Look at it this way. Watch the shot again. Since you believe it was a foul and hit the five first, then take away the three. Just imagine there is only the cue ball and the five ball. Now, with that in mind, look at the angle the five moves away from the cue ball after contact. It's less than ninety degrees. It is impossible to cut a ball less than ninety degrees. Therefore, it is not a foul. Keith even said so himself.
McCready was a fantastic player but his arrogance and flamboyant demeaning of others turns my stomach. That’s the same reason the crowd was cheering for Efren. They couldn’t stand him either. He got a couple of extremely lucky slop shots including the fluke 2 9 combo that made the difference in this match.
Was it a 100,000.00 $ tournament or 1000.00 dollars? Efren would've played with higher level concentration ,if prize was higher. But anyway it comes with the territories ,good games. Who won the world pool that year?
your comment sounds so stupid efren showed up but just said to hell with it because it was not enough money he knew what the money was get real i see u dont know a lot about pool
When a ball flies off the table, it's spotted. Note though McCready didn't have ball in hand. Had to shoot behind the kitchen line. This was 1988. I believe today the ball would still be spotted but the next shooter would have ball in hand. I believe.
Born on February 24, 1977, Mayweather is 43 years old. Efren was called the "Magician" since the 1980s, when Reyes was considered a top-class player in his homeland - Mayweather would have been around 15 years old - so figure it out for yourself & next time give us a source for your rumor, okay?
I was still a 1yr old boy the time of this game. Now im 37 i still have yet to meet The Great EFREN. I wish to meet Efren once here in Manila. He is such an INTERESTING PERSON
@@Joe-mf9zz I think the last tournaments he won were in 2005 , I think he was a great player , especially gambling. His style was a bit too aggressive for tournament play imo just because if you miss those really difficult shots for half an hour , you could be out of the tournament. He was certainly one of the most fun people to watch and might make any shot at any time , so he was very dangerous as an opponent.
Efren is a great player but not unbeatable, people only remember his wins never the losses. Lots of players defeated him . Not taking anything from him, because he was that damn good.
