Two month review of the EG4 24,000 BTU hybrid mini-split purchased from Signature Solar. The entire unit only took a few hours to install. It has really made a difference in my shop.

enjoy the solar videos. waiting on the winter update for eg4. eg4 temp output and wattage would be great in heat mode thank you for your solar videos.

this is like the 5th generation of this product from HotSpot Energy, Signature Solar isn't the OEM, so I'm not surprised they work pretty well. Hotspot does have some other niche similar products, I think their heat recovery water heater can be integrated into this as well.

I have six 410 watt panels connected to the unit. 10 awg wire.

does the smart life app you mention in video show solar to grid ratio like the screen you show in video. wattage pulled from solar , wattage pulled from grid is a perfect idea to monitor. thanks for your videos, the app is called smart life??

Yes, it does. It is actually very handy. It will also run several other products. A few are listed in the video description, which can help with energy efficiency. I like how even at work I can take a look and see how the mini-split is performing.

does the interior fan rotate so it distributes air left and right around the room or does it just blow straight out?

It blows the air vertically, up and down, as well as horizontally side to side. Both those functions can be turned on and off. It can really cool & heat an area pretty quickly.

how does it heat in the winter? How big is the shop you are cooling and heating?
