Egg-laying brown anole (Anolis sagrei), Aruba 

after she buried the egg , she says "there you go my child. when you're ready, you'll have the whole world to explore!"

Found eggs like that in the garden all the time but were already hatched. Never knew what they were from. One day I find one still intact and a Little lizard bust out and started running. Blew my mind , was really awesome.

This isn't Anolis sagrei but rather Anolis lineatus. But nice footage anyway!

It’s odd that brown anoles lay only one (relatively large) egg at a time, but it’s surprisingly competitive. The female carries less weight and retains her agility while gravid and instead of hatching into larger numbers of smaller babies the eggs hatch into a smaller number of larger, more developed babies. We see this trajectory with a lot of ground-dwelling island birds as well.

I always find anole eggs in my pots. I take care of them cus they help keep my garden healthy. If I accidentally find an egg while repotting I just put it somewhere else
