Chuck great video, thanks for the visit with Sondra. You were correct we've been missing her, you are a lucky man to have such a hard working lovely young lady to keep you going. Best wishes to both of ya & Jamie also. Blessings. Happy 😊 Easter.
Great egg Mobil Chuck I love that you can take the boxes out to wash them great to see James again to this videos backdrop of your farm moving egg mobile was so beautiful 😍
It was so good to see you Saundra!!! I miss y'all fussin and messin at each other! Chuck, I completely understand what you are saying about this time of year being so busy. However, I would highly recommend that you take 30 days to post a video every day. That doesn't mean you have to film one every day, just film a few different things and break them up into different days to post. It will really help increase your subscribers quickly!!
It's always a pleasure to see both of you and I get a kick out of Sandra I love the way she laughs. I really like the coop you guys did a real good job.
Awesome y’all! Spring time is definitely a busy time all the way around here for us too. I run a full time landscape business which is naturally busy in the spring then everything on our farm is wide open as well from new chicks coming in to gardens going in it’s always something for sure. Me an my wife are the same way she goes her way and I go mine. We each have our jobs to do and we get it done. Keep up the good work y’all !
Chuck & Sondra, I always enjoy your videos. I too just moved from Pa. to KY. to start anew kind of like you guys. It's a challenge to know how much product to produce in a certain time span. You get irregular supply or alot of freezers full of product. In your egg tractor are the slats in the floor narrow enough to keep out predators yet possible for chickens to grab onto &roost? Keep on taking things to the next level!! Peace
Sun-activated doors is a must, worth every penny spent on them. Why not use gravity-egg delivery to the outside? No poop on the eggs if they gravity drop to an outside collector. Also, you don't have to move those restriction bars on the boxes twice a day. What am I missing?
Hi chuck. I’m looking to build a bigger and better egg mobile. Is 3.0 working out like you hoped? Would you make any changes? Enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work. Terry in Nebraska.
Had a thought about moving chickens. Could you build a rectangular box about the same size of the feeders 18" wide 2ft high 6 foot long with a lid on top to put the feed in. . Put hole in side of the brooder so the birds can run in and out of rectangular box. Put feeders in the box to train them to go in and out of the box. Put a handle on the brooder box like the feeders That way when you are ready to move them to the field they are already in a crate ready to move. Have a small trailer the same height of the rectangular box so you just slide the box on the trailer.
Your right about used tin I put some on 1 of my shops because the road roofing always leaks but the used tin still leaks just as bad waist of time using old tin
Will hay or something else go on the floor? Wondering how the chickens feet will do with the spacing. Awesome video, thanks for sharing watch many of them
Good design. Have you seen Richard Perkins design for a set of automated nest boxes. Perkins is a British farmer in Sweden who does very creative things like you do. Check it out at his RU-vid site under the title Automate Your Egg Mobile.
@@drewhillfarms That wire is only the underside of the rafters not between the rafters and the steel roof. It would be an annoying job to do it but it should probably be there
