Ingredients for pastry(饼皮材料) :
100g butter(牛油)
35g (1/4 cup) icing sugar (糖粉)
200g (1 1/2 cups) plain flour (普通面粉)
1 egg lightly beaten (鸡蛋轻轻打散)
Ingredients for filling (馅料):
4 large eggs (鸡蛋)
200ml boiling water (沸水)
100g (1/2 cup) caster sugar (细砂糖)
100ml milk or evaporated milk (鲜奶或淡奶)
1 tsp custard powder (蛋黄粉/吉士粉)
2 tsp water (水)
1/2 tsp vanilla essence (香草精)
Serving size : 3” tart mould can make 15 portions
3寸挞模可做15个

You can substitute custard powder with an equal amount of corn starch. That’s the main ingredient in custard powder.

I tried the recipe, I have more than half the custard filling leftover 😅 next time I would just half the amount for the custard to prevent wastage..

Tats mean for the 15 3" tarts we only hv to prepare half portion of the filling to avoid wastage huh ? pls share , thanks !

Hi I tried to bake this using your stated temperature at 160C for 25 mins. However, my filling was not yet cooked. So I added another 10 mins, the filling is cooked but has sunk. Please help

过后塔皮烤好后我就倒蛋液,蛋液会被吸收进去这样,然后我又在倒蛋液填满,过后才放进烤箱烤,结果不熟,失败了,塔皮不熟

I tried... But the tart shell absorbed my fillings left nothing in the middle.. And my tart shell become over fluffy leaving me no middle space for filling.. Tips please..
