Adam West said that Vincent Price was one of the nicest guys he ever worked with. What's funny is that at the end of this episode (after the egg fight), Vincent kept throwing the eggs (even after the director screamed: 'Cut'). It's nice that on 'Family Feud,' Adam West, Burt Ward, and Vincent Price got to team up.
Look who's starring in the show, legendary Vincent Price, once before this episode was shown, let's turn on the NeWS. That would of brought some publicity.
Apparently during the egg fight the director told everyone the scene wa over and to stop throwing eggs and Vincent Price supposedly said "With a full box of ammunition? Not a chance!" And that's when he smooshed the eggs in Burt Ward's hair.
One of Vincent Price ( Egghead ) henchman was Ben Weldon who played a heavy on a number of " Adventures of Superman " episodes with George Reeves. In one Superman episode Ben W. tangles with an up and coming actor named Chuck Connors.
4:25 Vincent Price said that originally he was supposed to hit Burt Ward with only one egg. But the producers told him to use more than that since they were getting a little fed up with him by that point. When Burt said "Aggghhhh!" that wasn't in the script; he was genuinely taken by surprise.
I think Egghead was eggscited when he thought he beat Batman and Robin!!! However, he just couldn't go that eggstra mile to finish the job🙏🙏🙏How eggs-hausting!!!
OhmygodIcantstopdying this is too funny x'D I was laughing harder then them. I think I might have fallen off my seat when Batman took out the 'sad pills'.
Egghead: Well Joker, you claimed you've been trying to get Batman to laugh all this time. Well the yolk's on you because I made him laugh long before your killing joke! Joker: Oh shut up you! You don't count you're not even a canonical villain!
For me this is the best Batman franchise whether it's the series or the movie. I don't think Batman was ever meant to be as gloomy as it became in the 21st century.
as a kid wasnt it great the next day at school to talk about did you see the part when batman hit the penguin with his own umbrella or jonny quest saved bandit by grabing his collar so he didn't fall in the volcano & Dr. smith ate the green plant why did we grow up i wanna do it again PLEASE watched it all on a 19" B+W magnavox on a tv stand with rabit ears with tin foil balls on the ends
It's intentionally hilarious as is the whole series. It was very well writen and starred many great actors like Vincent Price (Egghead) here... The whoie series is tongue - in - cheek humour. Great show
Egghead missed a couple "Egg puns". At 1:16 he could've said "That's enough EGG-cercise for one day Batman". And at 3:21 - Should've been "So let us EGG-splore Gotham city's sewer systems"
Even So, You Can't Deny (Vincent Price) Portrayed The Role as Egghead to a T. Just Like (Cesar Romero) with The Joker, (Burgess Meredith) The Penguin '' Pengy '', & (Frank Gorshin) with The Prince of Puzzles The Riddler...
the sport of the penguin was the name of it and the fight before batgirl got there the henchmen were lifting robin up and down a few time as he was calling batman , batman flew over on a trapese and everyone fell down.
The egging of Robin was the producers' way of EGG-zacting punishment on Burt Ward when they felt he was getting too big for his britches (not in a good way...but that's a whole other issue!).
I remember an episode where during a fight some henchmen keep tossing Robin up in the air like a cheerleader, and he was yelling, "BATMAN! BATMAN!" Which one was that from? I think that is even funnier than him getting that egg shampoo treatment.
+Thomas Ponzio Adam West and Vincent Price are/were both over six feet tall. A couple of big boys exchanging some pretty good shots in the fight scene.
Can somebody PLEASE tell me what instruments or sfx they used to replicate the sounds of chickens at time 4:34-4:35? They're doing something that's brilliant. What is it? Is it instrumentation or sound effects?
That was laughing gas. Not realistic though... at a concentration high enough to throw out that rich plume of gas, B&R would have been asleep within seconds. Laughing gas (nitrous oxide), causes intense drowsiness at high concentrations, I know because I once had a dentist give me some in prep for a root canal. He turned the gas on high, then got distracted when a nurse called him from the room. I started to feel the sleep inducing effects, but couldn't reach my hand up to take the mask off. I fought it has hard as I could, as I did not want to fall asleep and have the doctor see may laying half askew in the chair. I resisted as long as I could, but I eventually had to give in to it and fall asleep.
Old comment, but it's "Old McDonald Had a Farm" in a minor key (to fit the fight and the villian theme, also the farmer that owned that barn and eggs was named McDonald)
