I don't blame that person for stealing the hermit crabs, if I could do this with pet store rodents, I would. Stores selling animals in these conditions should be illegal, or at the very least need way, way, higher standards. These animals are living, breathing creatures that can live for many years and can be just as much of a companion as a cat or dog, but most stores treat them like toys for kids that aren't ment to last more than a month.
Yeah, I agree. Another thing that saddens me is that people have to put signs up to not buy chicks as easter gifts, because people do that and don't know how to care for them, abandon them once they grow up, and/or neglect them. If you buy chicks, buy them as a pet or food source and care for them, not as a cute little gift. If you wanna give someone a cute little gift chick (especially if its to children) BUY THEM AN ACTUAL PLUSH. Animals are treated like garbage and it sucks, I just don't understand how humans can do that. Like, yeah it can be hard to find ethically sourced meat but even that can be just awful (I'm not a vegan/vegetarian but I do understand that meat animals aren't always treated the best and my family tries to buy ethically sourced meat)
42:22 that's the same gift I was thinking of! Outside of cameras, my DS and my laptop (which was a gift for school) were the most expensive gifts I ever got. My laptop was designated for school as it was 2008 and my physics class required typed papers, and our single core desktop with less than a gig of ram wasn't powerful enough for my classwork anymore. I was given a dual core laptop with 2gb of ram, and I LOVED that thing from 2008 to 2015, when the motherboard finally died... in the middle of economics class in college. I had six and a half glorious years with that computer, gaming, writing papers, and using Skype. (Remember, pre-Discord.) I still have the computer carcass somewhere... the hard drive is in a bin, and many files I have burried on this computer (number five) are from that original laptop. No other computer has lasted as long; the record is four years. Sony REALLY knew how to make good pcs, and I wish they hadn't stopped.
Hermit crab thief- you are a hero. I adore hermit crabs and I purchased mine from a reputable breeder at a reptile expo for all of the reasons that you listed. Unfortunately, 1 decided he was an only child (Hermie) serial killer 😢 I made sure sizes matched, plenty of various sized shells, separated during the introductory period, plenty of fresh and salt water, plenty of fresh food variety, tons of room (50gallon tabk for 3 crabs). Hermie dragged Sushi from his shell and wouldn't let him have a new one until he suffocated and then he ate Lurch 😮 So, I let him have his way and be an only child. I had him for YEARS. We'd click to each other and he would come over to be handled. Probably the most hermity hermit crab ever living his best life in his 50gallon palace 😂❤RIP Hermie!
42:36 while i think the parent here did the right thing and good for them watching out for their son, as someone originally diagnosed with Aspergers do recognize that it's not classified separately from autism anymore! the person that the condition is named after was a nazi and besides autism spectrum disorder is, well, a spectrum that all aspergers traits fall under anyways. high functioning/low functioning autism are also outdated terms, many autistic people including myself prefer just being referred to as autistic no matter how independent they are
thank you for saying this, i - as an autistic person - literally had to full on argue with an allistic person about this, its ridiculous that its still used even in clinical settings despite not being officially recognised for almost over a decade :/

the one that swapped her brother's names, i wish you well, in hell, you ruined their lives. i'd understand if they were turning like 2 years old but YOU WAITED 16 YEARS. they are gonna have a lot of trouble when they apply somewhere when their birth certificate is needed, they will get called out for identity theft/fraud and YOU will be the one to blame. they may get blacklisted if/when you don't step up to your 'mistake'. i hope you get an insane amount of karma.
The last story: THe kid should be shooting cats with a bb gun HOWEVER cats are one of the most destructive invasive predators in the world and have led to 63 extinctions of small mammals reptiles birds and amphibians. the owner SHOULD NOT let the cat outside.
