This is ABSOLUTELY for me, when I move into an apartment. I can take the washer, consolidate all my gear into one tote, throw it into the back of my car (it’s a hatchback) and wash my car at a self-serve place, or maybe my new apartment complex has a water spigot somewhere I can use! Hell, I can even wash it at my job! This is great!
I live in an apartment complex....this unit is perfect for us. Moreover, should you ever have your own home or seek to go to a friends house to combo detail...boom you can take it with you. Now nice is that!
Justin, it fits perfectly on the end of my KOBALT utility cart. I have 20 gallons of onboard water from four military water jugs. In my setup I carry two for wheels with tap water and two for paint using distilled water. I have a washing pad area not far from my garage where I clean my car where I can roll my detailing cart out to.
Totally agree with you…I live in an apartment and this solves the issue of being able to detail my car between the professional detailing jobs…😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Love all my EGO tools. Never thought I’d own a pressure washer until EGO announced theirs. I’ve said it before. Two batteries and a charger so you basically get the tool for free. I’m enjoying this little guy.
I think for doing spot free rinse with a 5 gallons of distilled water would be a great use of the siphon tube after the initial wash. I live in an area where my TDS is regularly over 500. Using a spot free rinse would possibly improve the longevity of the pump by also rinsing the pump during the spot free rinse. My water is so bad where I live that I am on my third pump on my gas pressure washer. That is even with using pump saver solution after I use the gas pressure washer. For car washing I have used an electric Active 2.0 and it has survived my terrible water for over a year. Any feedback on how you guys protect your pressure washers with bad water is appreciated.
Wow, that does a surprisingly good job. I could see this being a game changer for those that live in apartments and don't have access to power that the community wash area. As a side note, Pan, will you be reviewing the new North American version of the WashR Pro from BigBoi and the Active 2.3?
I would really love this if it had an option to plug it into the wall. At home, I don't have access to power or running water so battery is perfect. I go up to my in-laws once a month and have access to power and running water. I'd love it if I could use it on battery at home but run it off of AC mains at other locations.
Overall I think it's an excellent unit, especially for mid grade level. I did notice the hose obviously before you even mentioned it and that's a problem. But things like the weighted attachment for the bucket which a lot of companies don't provide. Overall I give it two thumbs up. Tks pan!! 👍🏼 🇨🇦
Outstanding review bud. I have been using this unit for 3 months now and LOVE it. That said, I have made some changes to the gear I use: Those being: 1) gun and wand {OG Spec Mosmatic Swiveling Sprayer & OG Mosmatic Stainless Steel Bent Wand); 2 & 3) Tip (OG Spec Mosmatic Nozzle Assembly 40 degree /w 3.0 Orifice); 4) Foam Canon (Griot's Garage The Boss Foam Canon); 5) Pressure hose (50' UBERFLEX). The Power is THERE. The mobile flexibility is THERE (much like a cordless DA Polisher) and above all...gets you in the EGO eco-system product line with two awesome batteries (hence, put their blowers on your list or their shop vac.) In the end the unit...for what it offers and what it can do FAR outweighs its price; special when you touch and feel its built quality.
Hi Pan, great video! I just wish we could charge the batteries without having to take them out. I'll wait a year or two before they update a few things before purchasing this.
I am thinking about getting this one for my weekly personal car wash, I live in an area where the water is not so good but I can easily buy 10 gallons of pure water very cheap once a week. I will move to a different place soon so I don't want to buy a DI water system yet. The portable mode (siphon) is also useful for when the winter hits hard and the outside water outlet is too difficult to operate.
Not sure why people get carried away with the PSI, you dont need 3200 psi to clean your vehicle. What you want is GPM to be closer to 2 GPM. Also consider the size of your nozzle , getting one with a bigger orifice will give you higher GPM reducing the PSI and your power washer wont work as hard.
I plan on buying this Ego Pressure Washer, I also plan on buying the Ego shop vac. I already own an Ego lawn mower, 765psi leaf blower, and a carbon fiber auto feed string trimmer, and a hedge trimmer. I only have two Ego batteries a 7Ah that came with the mower and a 5Ah aftermarket, which is really holding up and working great. I want to buy this with the two 6Ah batteries because if you look at the list price for the batteries and charger you are getting the pressure washer for free. I would like to start a mobile detailing out of the back of my Buick Encore. I can use this pressure washer and not need a generator, same with the Ego shop vac, and if I do need power for some reason, I can get the EGO power inverter that runs off their 56v battery. When I save up the money, or actually make it from detailing, I plan on getting 2 EGO 12Ah batteries, usually $999 on Amazon as a set. I want to get a water tank, but until I do, I can use a couple of buckets with lids and use the syphon hose included with the washer. I can fill the buckets at my local grocery store reverse osmosis drinking water machine, it cost $.50 a gallon or $2.50 for 5 gallons. I've tested the water with my TDS meter, and it reads 002 TDS! Spotless Water without the cost of a DI system! When using the pressure washer, I have a choice of foam cannon, EGO actually sells a proper foam cannon for $79.99 on Amazon, or I can put some rinse-less wash, I like DIY Detailing V2, directly into the bucket and use the pressure washer to dispense the rinse-less wash, OR I could use a Hybrid wash, with DIY rinse-less in the bucket and incredible suds in the foam cannon! The only thing I need to know is, when I go to buy the EGO pressure washer and EGO Foam cannon, is the link above an affiliate like I can use so you get a little $$ your way?
My only complaint with the Ego line are the price of the batteries. I bought their 650 leaf blower & pad $300 US which is selling on Amazon as we speak for $220! Great quality company but very pricey
I hate that they have their own connections. Why can't everyone just stick to the standard? I like the idea of this, but not the price. I am excited to see people modify it though
Good build quality, 5A batteries really good, no problem Had this item just over 1 week, used it to clean several cars, the batteries have not needed recharging. Fantastic build quality, I would recommend this; I work as a professional car valet and I need something reliable and effective. Early days but absolutely brilliant so far. You should buy the right tool for the job. If you're cleaning a huge area of drive or a really lengthy job, don't buy a cordless! This is fantastic if used for the correct work and is a great tool.
Great video Pan, I didn’t know the existence of a professional battery powered pressure washer like this. The price is absurd? Yes, but if you don’t have any water or electricity access like me this product is fantastic
I love the look of that unit. It looks really stout and well built. If I didn't just buy a pressure washer to replace the piece of junk Karcher I had before, I would have purchased this unit. Oh well, next time I need a pressure washer (hopefully not for several years), I might have to revisit this little beauty.
As someone who lives in an apartment over a garage as part of a block of townhouses - while I do have access to an outdoor tap, I would need a very long hose to wash my car or say the concrete surface of my balcony. The fact this is battery operated and can draw water from a bucket would work much better for me. I wouldn't need to run a hose from my tap (at the rear of my property) around to the balcony or where I can park my car to wash it. Same for Power (Though I do have a 30 m extension lead.) Cost on the other hand would be a factor as I don't have any other EGO equipment and they only sell the Pressure washer as a "skin only" at all of my local 'tools' chains.
Regret buying, not recommended. I own an EGO blower, trimmer, chainsaw, and lawnmower. I'm very happy with all of them, so deciding to purchase this pressure washer was an easy decision. I was very disappointed with it's operation, which was an exercise in frustration. The status lights to tell you powered on/off, pressure level, and Bluetooth pairing are invisible in normal cloudy or sunny daylight. This is true for the unit itself and for the gun/handle (but not the batteries). This means that one cannot tell if the unit is powered on/off, the pressure level, or Bluetooth pairing. When turning the unit off, the unit continues to run for 10-15 seconds so one is not sure if you pressed the button hard enough the first time. This is particularly a problem if one uses hearing protection when using this unit. I returned the unit after one use and cannot recommended it to anyone who uses it outside.
Very expensive !!! I have an electric ryobi, works great !! But draggcord and hose a bit of a pain.so battery and just a hose is great.plus areas around the hose which are. Hard to reach bucket is helpful.
Great review Pan, thank you. I’m a weekend warrior living in the northeast. Admittedly I’m surprised to see so many reviews struggling for use case beyond apartments and mobile detailers. I’ve been looking to buy/build out an electric pressure washer system for my home in New England but unfortunately worry about a wall mount solution with temperatures dropping below freezing in the winter months and also worry about the amp load of a system competing with all my other electrical needs in my garage despite being a new construction home. I have lots of lights, tv, chargers, dehumidifiers, etc. I contemplated a dedicated pressure washer cart option using an Active 2.0 or 2.3 but space can be a bit limited in my garage and basement (in the winter months). I’m not set up to wash in my garage, so I need to be prepared to do my cleaning out in a large driveway. I have a very thorough EGO ecosystem including multiple leaf blowers for drying my cars. I just purchased the pressure washer this weekend as it gives me a very quick all season pressure washing capabilities. It’s also relatively quiet, giving me more flexibility to wash earlier in the morning or later in the day to void the process of washing in direct sunlight, the ability to potentially use warm bucket water in cold weather is also appealing. Super excited about adding better pressure hoses and potentially shortening the distance from gun to nozzle. And there appears to be a premium foam sprayer with brass body coming in May. I’ve preordered that to see how it dispenses. Thanks again for the review!
Glad to see a successor to the Sunjoe cordless bucket pressure washer. Not sure why they discontinued it. They were in a league of their own for cordless pressure washers.
I don’t have a garage. But I was thinking of using a Dewalt Cordless Syphon Pressure Washer to remove road salt in the winter as my outdoor hose is put away for the winter.
I honestly think it's a great machine ego always strive for performance, who's this Market for it could be for someone to detail there personal car or soft wash there house, for us weekend warrior or full time detailers it's not enough run time, great video pan haha now I'm itching to buy it 😅
It's good to have the car a lot wetter because as we know water loosens dirt. I know everybody likes all the soap on it but you need that water to break up the dirt. I think too much soap and not enough water on it I didn't think it would do a very good job at cleaning. So basically I think that soup cannon is spot on Just enough soap just enough water.
Hey Pan, I just received mine (Ontario) hours ago. The purpose is mobile. I do carry a tank in my pickup. I believe that it will suit my purpose just fine and the performance seems more than adequate. Time will tell lol.
I have always wondered if everything in your garage gets wet when you are washing a vehicle. I feel like it would and in the video you can see the water particles floating in the air after rinsing. Is this something that forces you to dry things off after a wash?
My garage is pretty big at 24x24 (576 sq.ft) and super tall 13 ft ceilings, so water splashing is of no concern really. Plus I have a dehumidifier which keeps humidity controlled. See all the details in my full garage tour video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wx6HTBAzeXI.htmlsi=yleD5xauwmcUiAW7
Bought this and the vac 2 days ago. Was able to wash 2 cars with 2 bars left on the supplied 6.0’s yesterday. Vacuum had 3 bars left after both vehicles. Great little washer but would be best with 2 12.0’s for 60 mins on turbo mode.
Hey Pan I'm pretty sure over the years you and other you tubers like Yvan have mentioned that 1100psi should be the ideal/max for paint and now you're saying just over 2000psi is safe. Why such a huge discrepancy in PSI?
I never said over 2000 psi is safe. I always recommend staying under 2000 psi. I set my pressure washer to 1000 psi by the way. Please get your facts straight before making false claims. The EGO unit has a MAX pressure rating of 3200 psi. And it has three different power modes. Obviously you wouldn’t be using its maximum pressure to wash cars.
I was looking at the Kranzle K1122TST, but after watching your review, I see that I can save quite a bit of money to spend on other essentials for my 🏎️ lol thank you for this video, it goes to show you don’t have to sell the Farm to wash the tractor
@@timkinley1779 True...but it come with a great warranty and is very well built. Yes, it is NOT a Kranzle K1322TS Pressure Washer but it will give it a run for its money!
@@golf007sd2 I don't care about a warranty nor do I want to spend money on a disposable unit. Unless you know going in that you're only going to get so many hours out of it, and you're good with that. In that case, I'd buy it to experience it and live with the shortcomings.
Don't get me wrong, the K11222TST is on a completely different level. It's built like a tank. I haven't seen any other electric pressure washer built as good as that. It's the last pressure washer you'd ever need. Can you get the "job done" with less expensive units? Yes.
This would be nice to have IMO. No worries about plugging in. I have an Ego blower and trimmer and I love their products. However at that price, I’m good with what I have currently. But this appears to be another great product. Thanks Pan for the review.
I see use for this. I rent, I usually rely on car wash bays for touch less washes. Landlord does not want any car washing in the parking area(back of the house) on our property. I can wash on the street (front of the house) but there is no water supply outlet in the front. Detail shop near by has a refill station for detailers and I can get spot free water from there!
I need to pressure wash my driveway and sidewalk. My gas pressure washer does it nicely. I have Ego lawn tools and they work greatly. I don’t think the pressure washer fits my needs.

One place where getting water from a bucket is wonderful is when it comes from a well. The pressure and volume aren't the greatest so being able to pump water into a bucket and draw it faster than the well can supply is good thing. I could have used that 40 years ago when prepping a wall for painting and finding out the well couldn't supply water fast enough for the pressure wash I was using.
Psi numbers are useless in pressure washer marketing. The head will determine psi. A tiny head will have high psi but useless practicality. You want to look at gpm. Also, pressure washing is not a good way to wash a car.
Water flow (GPM) is my preferred number to look at. My high end Kranzle pressure washer (the best electric pressure washer on the market) pushes out a stout 2.1 GPM of water and is perfect for washing cars. But please don't propagate false information by saying pressure washing is not a good way to wash a car. That couldn't be further from the truth. I have been detailing cars for over 27 years, and never once had issues. Same applies for any detailing channel you watch: they all use pressure washers. So without any knowledge about the detailing world, or any valuable real world experience on the topic, please keep such opinions to yourself, especially when making bold states, with zero facts to support your claims. That makes zero sense.
I don’t understand this process for using anything above 1800 psi at 2 gallons per minute to wash your vehicle does to me would be more for cleaning your floors, your deck, pressure washing concrete and so forth. I see no need to ever use this on your vehicle.
Can the active 2.0 operate siphoning from a bucket? Im in a situation where im not sure if my well pump will handle it. I still need to get actual measurements but siphoning with the active 2.0 would be ideal
As handy as this could be it can’t be aimed at mobile detailers or even weekend warrior detailers, because THAT hose is UNFORGIVABLE, for the money they’re charging for this it should come with a very good quality lay FLAT anti kink hose because the amount of coil up that did from start to finish was atrocious.
What about a tough job like cleaning a driveway. A car is easy and could be just washed by hand! Too much talk and not much action with the tool demonstrated here.
This is a car detailing channel, so the focus of this review was how the pressure washer would do for car detailing purposes. An electric power washer isn't the best suited for cleaning driveways. A high powered gas machine is better for that (3000-5000 psi). And you wouldn't use such a high powered machine to wash a car (always stay below 2000 psi to wash cars). So to each world their tools.
Hey Pan I was wondering how much of a difference between Ego battery Powered Pressure washer and Craftsman v20 1500 psi 1.2-gallons cold water battery pressure washer?
Nope and I clearly stated this wasn’t a paid promotion. EGO did not pay for the review and did not send me the unit. I ordered this myself. You must be new to my channel, as you’d know I’m very transparent when I do sponsored videos, as required per rules and regulations by the way. When you have a big channel like mine, you do everything by the book. Now I never said this is the best pressure washer I ever used. Not even close. My favourite pressure washer is my Kranzle 1122TST which I reviewed in another video. And that one is almost three times the price of the EGO. The EGO brings practicality for those who need a battery powered unit. Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RU-vid as we surpassed 995,000 subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
In Sweden this det Costs about 1700 usd so too much. I bought the much less powerful greenworks battery driven high pressure washer and am happy with it and use my Nilfisk premium 190 normally but Greenworks when washing remote from my house. Overall they are okay but not financially sound :) thx for The video
Bit pricey IMO. I had a quick google and prices over here in the UK are high. Circa £1K GBP for the full kit is an extremely high price point. Aside from that looks a bit of a decent (concept) kit.
thanks for your review, Pan. But in my opinion, you missed one of the most amazing aspects of a system like this or other ones on the market that have a draw tube for pulling from a separate container… Using distilled water and having a completely spot free final rinse!!!! No towel drying or marring!! Not everyone can afford a CR Spotless.
@@brianhickey5949 I have a CR Spotless system as well... but I encourage many of my customers, especially motorcycle people, to buy a portable battery operated power sprayer with an intake hose dropped into distilled water. It's a lot cheaper alternative normally than then buying a full filter system. Deionized and Distilled water are the same just thru different processes. No minerals, just pure h2o...
I would very much like to get this. But the price on Amazon is $850.00 some dollars wow. But still I like it. I have a Hart it's okay. I have a midsize car a 2000 Camry LE. I will think about getting this one. I use distilled water with the Hart one that I have. We have extremely hard water here where I live here in the US. Thanks much for your video.
It’s an interesting product! I own a home, but the garage is on the older side w/ not many power sources. With the performance, I could see myself buying one, especially that I’m already invested in Ego’s ecosystem. I was thinking, with the bucket as a water source, if you can find a place to get DI water, that would be a neat way to switch water sources for a final rinse.
I believe this product is geared towards rental detailers like me. I live in the city, in an apartment complex with no access to water, power or garage space. Where you want something better than a coin op and not having to take everything out to that location which some if not most don’t allow buckets or any additional equipment at the coin-op. You also dont/can’t buy a full generator, water tank, detailing frame set up etc. lmk if there’s any recommendations for people like me with this situation. Is this product recommended?
Dang, I'm so conflicted on this one. I primarily wash my cars at 2 places. At home I live in an apartment where I have a dedicated garage parking spot but no access to power or running water. I also wash at my in-laws once a month where I do have access to power and running water. I'm trying to decide on investing in an Active 2.3 or this Ego washer. The Ego I'd be able to use at home and on the go. The Active 2.3 I can only use at my in-laws. I'm conflicted because the Active is a much better pressure washer for the money.
It seems like the world has gone insane with all this green battery nonssense. What happens when the company goes out of business and your batteries die? The entire pressure washer is useless! A gasoline power washer can last decades and this one only a few years until the batteries die out! A complete waste of money!
The point behind it is to make money with the investment of the tool. It can be used more so in a mobile setting. I can see the return of investment coming pretty much instantly.
Amazing video pan, this would be great for me since I live in an apartment building. I was curious, I want to use my own foam gun and hose with a 1/4 quick connector. You mentioned you would need an adapter to do that with this unit. Do you happen to know which adapters you’ll need to connect your gun and hoses to this unit. Thank you in advance.
I got one and like it. I don't have a garage and this make it nice to not have to drag out an extension cord. I have a Kranzle 1322, love it but sometimes a pain to drag out. I did buy two 12 amp batteries. It does work well with a 3/8 hose and the MTM gun. It does create good foam with the MTM foam cannon with the 1.25 nozzle. Who is it for? Everyone who doesn't have the luxury of having a stationary set up for a pressure washer set up. I do plan on adding the shop vac and blower, possibly the light.
Manafacturers could make the best unit in the world but until they can sort out the dreaded coiled hoses, meaning a 6m hose actually gives a 2m working length due to it being coiled up, they fail.
Has anyone ever thought of buying one of those cheap drill like electric pressure washers like a ryobinor worx or something that have the hose to draw water from anywhere and then just get a bunch of distilled water for stupid cheap at Walmart and just use that as a final rinse for what is essentially a spot free rinse? I feel like thats a super cheap alternative method vs buying a DI water system?
I think it's a good multipurpose electric pressure washer for those who are already in the EGO ecosystem. There's always some sort of large upfront cost with battery systems.
According to EGO, it can fit up to 12 Ah batteries if you read the manual. So no problem for the 10 Ah batteries (part number BA5600T). All the following battery packs are compatible: BA1400, BA1400-FC, BA2800, BA2800-FC, BA4200, BA4200-FC, BA1400T, BA1400T-FC, BA2242T, BA2242T-FC, BA2800T, BA2800T-FC, BA3360T, BA3360T-FC, BA4200T, BA4200T-FC, BA4480T, BA4480T-FC, BA5600T, BA5600T-FC, BA6720T, BA6720T-FC
@@PanTheOrganizer Great video!! Thank you for doing this. Do you know if you can use two different size batteries together? For example, I have a 10 and a 6… would that work, you think?
Very cool to get that kind of performance out of a battery powered unit and the siphon can get the job done. Pricey…but I could see this being very useful for a specific subset of detailers
I’m a big fan of Ego. All of my lawn care equipment is from them. I also have this unit and overall I’m very satisfied with it. I do have a couple minor complaints: 1) I don’t like how you have to disassemble the wand to store it 2) The speed indicator on the unit and on the gun is very hard to see in sunlight 3) Powering down my unit is potentially bugged. When I stop washing and press the power button nothing happens. The internal fans keep going and the battery indicators are still lit. I have to wait for the fans to stop then I can hit the power button. This could be a safety feature to allow the batteries to cool down but I didn’t see anything mentioned in the manual
The worst thing about pressure washers is the hose always sucks and it's a nightmare trying to roll it up. I highly recommend to upgrade the hose to an uberflex or something similar and possibly get a hose reel
@pantheorganizer is it possible to connect the foam cannon to the gun while its in it's holster? I just got mine, haven't played around with it yet. if you don't get around to checking I'll Edit this later when i test it. Also maybe the foam cannon can connect to the the quick connect of the hose for use with a water bucket? At least then it will be strapped to the machine.
You need an adapter for that. Cars With Keav already tested other foam cannons with the EGO in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qj-SYTy1kZc.htmlsi=S7QsdaVO6Nk3bGE4&t=1170
I am no where as experienced as the majority of Pan or any of his viewers, but my MTM PF22.2, MJJC S V3, as well as the little Amazon $16 cannons all perform great along with the pressure washer. I also upgraded to the MTMSGS28 gun.
I think it’s definitely a unique thing, I just don’t see the point of it? I mean in reality the only nice thing about it is the fact that there is no cord, but the whole changing buckets etc is quite time consuming and pointless but it is cool the fact that you can hook up a water hose and your good to go
Thanks for the video, real straight up. As an observation for foam cannon storage, you can use the trigger stoage and mount the cannon on it, fits really nice.
Jeepers, that’s a hefty price. I have all the hoses and gear, I would like to see them just sell the unit itself as a cordless unit and a couple batteries without all the accessories for people who would just prefer to cut the cord.
It's great that EGO continues to develop products for their ecosystem. I have rented and owned a few different pressure washers over the years, with varying levels of success. Having this battery-powered option with water source portability was a big selling point for me. It allows me to reach parts of my property that would have been impossible because of the distance from a water source. I washed a couple of cars and pressure washed the siding on my house over the last couple of days. I did experience two operational issues, however. First, the "weighted" siphon attachment floated quite a bit in my water reservoir. I had to attach a baseball bat donut weight around the bottom of the siphon (surprisingly a perfect fit) to keep it at the bottom of the bucket. The second periodic issue I had was the ego batteries flashing one red bar on both batteries. I was able to resolve by ejecting the battery, pressing the level check button which displayed green all the way around, and immediately reinserting the batteries and pressing the power button. It happened a couple of times over the two days, and I was able to resolve it the same way. If anyone has an idea about what is going on, I would appreciate the help.
