I have been involved with the ultralight movement since its Inception back in the mid-70s. Truthfully this is the first one of these I've seen that really makes sense! Excellent video perspectives. If they put this into a two place I think I might dig into my wallet. I currently own and fly Tailwind but this would be a blast for just banging around in the early mornings and early evenings!
In thermals is comparable performance as standart flex hang glider ( ofcourse flex without trike). Difference is, you are in comfortable seat and you are fully independent because you are powered hang glider.
Thank you, yes sure, Ego trike is exactlly for pilots who have no time to fly free HG, or feel not soo confortable for foot lounch, or simply have no HG comunity around him. Is very comfortable in compare harness, but with nearlly same performance for thermal flying because machine is still very light and aerodynamically clean.
Fiel tak availible till 20 liters. Low cruising speed 65km/hr is compsuption 3-4liters and max cruising speed is 90-100 km/hr with compsuption aroumd 8 liters.
Being an old hang glider and ultralight pilot from the 70's and 80's, this is very nice and clean looking system. What kind of price is it in U.S. funds ?
If you are asking for quantity of produced gliders in total 20 years history is more than 2000 free hang gliders and ca. 100 is now flying with trikes different types.
In Belgium it is not possible to have a ULM- training with EGO Trike mounted under a ATOS wing. As a result the law is not on our side and insurances will not pay in case of an accident. Can you fix that problem ? Because you make one of the nicest and best combination there is.
No, this machine not fit to UK market by weight and also is not cheap as SUB 70. Glide ratio possible from 1:13 till 1:18, sinkrate 0,8 m/s,empty weight 98 kg incl rocket rescue system. Flight performance and maneuverability really different than all flex sub 70, also price is thanks fully carbon kevlar construction , different, but belive me is really drem machine.

From the look of the wing I had expected a better sink ratio. A 70 year old sailplane would beat this 1:13 with at least 1:20. Souring with gain of height will only be possible in very good thermal conditions.
Dangerous is flying without airbrakes... good glide ratio and low sink rate is not good for landing on short airfields. Thanks airbrakes is easy and safe. Airbrakes are making significant shortage of flaring time. Looks different than standard trikes, but works perfect , very intuitive , easy and safe. Visit us...
