Howto - Blanking 3.0 Isuzu RA 4JH1 Rodeo EGR to fix Engine Light Issue.
My engine light was coming on every time I went over 100kph.
So I thought I would give blanking the EGR a go and it actually fixed the problem!!.
No more engine light and no running issues.
Please feel free to leave a comment below and any suggestion or questions .
I am obviously not a professional mechanic. I am just someone that likes to try to take on small repairs myself, and I have been greatly aided by other helpful videos on RU-vid. My goal in posting these videos is to try to return the favor and help someone that may have encountered one of the same problems that I have. I'm sure there are better, more efficient ways to do things, and I am certainly open to constructive criticism. However, I hope that in some way my videos will be helpful.

Hey brother I got the same engine and there is not much on RU-vid about them so far it’s a good engine. How many kms do you service your oil and fuel filter? And if there’s anything else I should know I only had it for 800km

Mine for 304.000km, very healthy engine, oil change every 5000km religiously. The diesel pump died at 270.000km which was an expensive fix, to extend its life replace the Fuel filter every 10k. Cheers

Gday mate, did this keep working for you or did you need to drill a hole in the plate? I keep reading that if it is completely blocked it'll switch into limp mode.

Still going strong - literally made no difference to the Slo-deo.

Convert it to a mechanical injector pump and she won't be so gutless. Done mine and it goes hard and the best thing I ever did .

Eventually will raise a P0400 code and go into limp at around 100km/hr which can be driven through via foot flat until the light clears ( 2 - 5 seconds) My work pig took 3 years before the dreaded fault lamp lit up 😏 One day i'll either sell it or get the ECU remapped and the code trigger deleted.
