This is part four of how to strip, clean and install a EGR delete.

This process can be used for Toyota Landcruiser 70, 75, 76, 100, 105
Any car with a 1HD-FTE, 1HZ or 1HD-T
Please check your local laws and regulations to blocking/ removing the EGR system in your car.
The mod should be used on "off road" vehicles only.
All mods are done at your own risk, all my videos are made as entertainment.

Great set of video's for reference. To make the EGR delete more stealth just make the block off plate like it is shown but only use 1 to 1.5mm steel. Fit it between the EGR pipe flange and the exhaust flange like a metal gasket but with no hole in it. Leave the EGR valve body and everything else like factory. This will prevent the flow of exhaust gas into the intake but makes everything look like stock. Completely removing the EGR pipe makes it very easy to spot that the EGR system has been removed.

Very good video and well explained. Holes should have been drilled before shaping the plate it would have been easier to hold.

What about mounting just the blind plate inbetween the pipe and the exhaust and leave al sensors untouched?

Is it enough just to map it so valve stays always closed? Or it has to be blanked and the egr cooler as well? Does an egr off do any wear to the engine?

Good video, i also removed egr system from my 1hdft cruiser engine, does it have any negative effects on the engine like more fuel consumption or less engine compression and power.?ill appreciate if u guide me plz...

If you just block the egr without cleaning then not much will change. If you do a intake clean you should feel a difference. I have heard mixed reports on others who have done the block. But its better for the engine if you do block it.

sweet video mate, did the same thing to my dads 1kz, just bought a 1hdfte so will be getting onto this soon, plus a gturbo and exhaust. might be a good time to check valve clearance too. where did you get the gasket for the egr block at the exhaust manifold.

Thanks mate! GTurbo will make it like a rocket! dont forget to get it tunes after (Y) Yes Definitely check the valves, lots of people dont and this causes power problems. I got the Gasket from Toyota and have ordered from "amayama", they are all genuine parts.

@@DanvsCar Hey mate, looking to get an intake adapter to use 3" piping rather than existing cast sections and blank egr and just completely remove the crossover pipe. found a few parts around for a 1hdft. is the intake manifold the same on the fte? struggling to find the right part or dimensions.

Hey Jack, from memeory they are a similar size. I have heard of people using a 1HD cross over on a 1HD-FTE. and a 1HD cross over on a 1HZ. I have seen it done, looks great and should work!

@@DanvsCar got it sorted. 1hdfte is slightly shorter. can use same adapter but add 2 holes to match up and die grind some overlap so it marries up cleaner. cheers

Hi Looking to do the same process myself. What other actions need to be done beside blanking the egr loke you did? Anything to do with vacuum hoses? Egr valve? Anything else? Thanks

If you just want to blank the EGR just put the plate in, thats all if you want it to stay looking stock.

@@DanvsCar thanks. I intend to replace the conecting pipe where the egr valve is, like you did. With the HDT part. What do i need to do with all the connections? If i do not replace the piping, and just put the blanking plate in, what goes over the other side of the egr pipe? Thanks again

@@sloeub Leave the pipe in if you are just blocking the EGR. The threads on the manifold are long enough to do that. (put the blank on the manifold side) If you are deleting the EGR, you can block the hoses with small bolts, or bend then over and zip tie the hose.
