I have a V7D black russian but I wanted something more compact. I decided on the rams head. It is a totally different beast for sure. Rams head has a much more modern sound. It just as good but in a different way. Out of the reissues I think the rams head sounds best. The Russian reissue sounds nothing like the real thing.

After testing them in person, the gray one sounds better (Rams Head)...
