Your definitely a man on a mission. I'm having difficulty keeping up and I'm only watching. Your doing a brilliant job. We the viewers get to enjoy the show from the comfort of our homes Thanks to you.
I think Guzzi are now producing the best looking motorcycles out there today, I’ve been a Kawasaki rider for the past 30 years but seeing how Guzzi are making these I think they are by far the best looking bikes nowadays
They are, though I quite like the new Z’s with the old logos and sparkly paint jobs!

Hi! Those aren't heated mirrors on the Stelvio, those are wires to activate the indicators for the radar reading (dead angles). I think that this year, Stelvio is the bike of the show, along with the XSR 900 GP. I alos loved that V100 Mandelo Black... gorgeous color combo (Black+golden)
Such beautiful bike’s really like the Stelvio but tbh, think a high contender for a next bike for me is the V85TT,absolutely love the looks of this bike.
Love the looks of the V100 but the Stelvio looks a more practical. Enjoyed the quirky V7 that I hired in Tenerife so be nice to get a test ride. Got used to the quirky rocking when you revved it. The V7 stone can be picked up for a very reasonable price
They are and yes, I don't get that either. I suppose they don't have silly performance figures, but they are plenty fast enough for pretty much anything, and they look amazing.
@@PeakMotorcyclesI think it might be the amount of servicing needed in combination with the large amount of known common faults. I know it put me off because the bike as such is a beaut.
They're really doing a nice job with all their brands. They're finally figuring out the product line and avoiding duplicates, with better branding. Aprilia is dominating in the aggressive and sporty sector, while Guzzi is the more tame but still exciting bike. With the Stelvio, it's like they've reinvented the good old Caponord in a much nicer package. And these bikes really look well put together, better than a BMW. Now I want them all
A man after my own hart I have owned three Moto guzzi ,s I think you get a lot for your money . enjoying all the videos keep them coming great to see some manufacturers making light weight bike,s you can turn into adventure bikes .like the kove you have .👍
All very beautiful motorcycles. I love Guzzis! That new Stelvio is absolutely great but it will be a hard sale for Guzzi with all the very good large ADV competitors in that segment from BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Triumph, Husqvarna, KTM, Ducati, and even from its sister brand Aprilia. In fact, it is not entirely sure why one would take the Stelvio over the V85TT, as the price difference will be significant...
Unfortunately I expect that will be the case, but I'm curious to know the pricing. Perhaps there have been some savings over the V100 by removing the active aero and electronic suspension. We shall see.
@@thefunk731 Well... There are 3: the Triumph Tiger 1200, the Yamaha Super Ténéré, and the BMW R1300 GS all have shaft drive. And the MG V85 of course 🙂.
A friend bought the V100 road bike this spring and is a very happy customer. The Stelvio will certainly find its customers, but I think the V85 has a wider audience - because there is no other middle-sized bike available with shaft drive. Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg
lovely looking bike , sadly won’t buy a bike manufacturer who shuns showing in NEC (UK) , makes me feel there after sales in UK would be poor, sorry that’s how i feel same with Aprilla
The problem with the NEC it’s just too long. 9 days is a massive cost and effort for anyone that exhibits there. Milan is 6 days of which only 4 are public. Ask anyone on a stand what they think about 9 days at the NEC and I expect they will shudder.
There is another version also of V85 (in addition to TT and Travel), they called it Strada (translated into English it's road/street); has some small differences (to make it more urban) like light alloy wheels (2kg less) and other stuff (my bad English doesn't allow me to translate). 👍 The engineers have also worked on the engine (it has 80hp like the first series but is euro 5+ now) and on the clutches of the classic Guzzi cardan transmission. I know there was (rightly) a lot of attention on the new Stelvio (really good live) but I always liked the V85 (it's beautiful, different, affordable and 80hp gives the chance for some fun also), this choice to make three versions seems right to me.
I know your probably under the pump to go see all the displays but if you have time. Could pass an eye over SWM.. they have been very quiet over this year..
I'm really sorry but I ran out of time. Wednesday afternoon was really busy so I couldn't do much filming and that was my last day. I now have two days of editing ahead of me.
Great looking bikes for sure but i don’t like the color choices for the new Stelvio. The V85 color concepts are better and the bike looks better than the Stelvio. Too bad the performance and weight of the V85 is so bad. I also think the BMW1300GS looks much better than the old 1250GS. In the end the power of the V100 Bikes is still too low compared to anything else. BMW, Ducati, Triumph all produce bikes with much more power. This is power to carry passengers and gear.
Nothing works for everyone. I prefer the V100 over the V85, but that’s an opinion not a fact. Much like your take. I know a few folks with the V85 and they are fine with the performance. I’ve had one on a tour and yes, it didn’t have the high speed performance of a 1200+, but for everything else it was brilliant. It also seems that there are more and more new bikes coming out in the 300-800cc categories as many are now realising no one needs the bigger, better, faster, more and you can have as much fun with 40hp as you can with 140. My guess is that power is important for you, so these bikes are not. This is fine each to their own and all that, so thanks for expressing your preference at some length.
I was in Potosi, at an elevation of 4090m. School kids were just wandering around while I was always short of breath. I had a Stelvio T-Shirt on, and the city of Potosi is at an elevation a mile higher than the summit of the Stelvio. It turns out they do it with ease. 😉
The other shocking item about the V100 or V85 engined bikes is that a new Harley could pull up next to you at a traffic light and give you a run for your money because the new Harleys make similar power! WHAT? Oh yes. Hahahaha. Smoked by a Harley, how embarrassing.
Do you mean the Pan America? It’s a good adventure bike, particularly as a first attempt. And that new engine with water cooling and variable valve timing is very much up to date. That said, no one I know who rides a Harley considers them to be Harley’s. Or did you mean a different new model?
Prefer the Stelvio to the new GS which when specked up in the usual BMW fashion is well over 20 grand.. Far too rich for me and lacks the character of the Guzzi
sadly with the weight of the V85 the engine is just too small. It needed to be about 100cc bigger at the minimum. Why would you choose a bike which is breathless and heavy if you could buy a used 1250 BMW at the same weight about the same price and 10,000km on the odo? it is a no brainer unless all you are interested in is the superficial looks of a bike and not the practicality. The V100 for example is way too expensive for what it is. It has no more power or torque than my 2001 model BMW R1150GS. It is for the rich elites like the Grisso before it.
Why? That’s easy. I already have a R1250GS which I use for touring and trail riding (two sets of wheels, Roadtec01’s for touring and Karoo4’s for trails). You may consider the looks superficial, but for most people, how a bike looks is a key part of any purchase. How it sounds, feels, rides, etc is also important and I personally love the ‘lean’ of the Guzzis under throttle and how they sound. I’d ride one of these before I’d buy one, but if it’s good, then yes, I’d consider buying one. To me, I think it looks better than a GS, but that’s just a personal opinion. ‘Sounds like you’re not a fan, which is also fine. For you.
That's not really correct I have a v85tt and have just completed a tour around Eurooe 2 up with panniers and top box full I travelled motorways 130 kmh 5000 rpm no problem I have owned many bikes and this is the most comfortable and has plenty of power and 90 percent available low down bike magazine had it up against 6 other adventure bikes and it came 2nd only beaten by Ducati Desert x you need to try one!
Very jerky video playback for me this time but I persevered because Guzzi have something worth looking at compared to other brands. The fine looks of Guzzi's make me smile. Possibly a bit of nostalgia involved but they're hard to fault. I will say though, the world has move on with screens. This idea of a large display where only 65% actually is a 'display' isn't good enough now. Appreciate they don't have the cash for R&D like Ducati/BMW/KTM but would I pay another £100-£200 more for the bike if the display ooozed quality and features like those brands? Yes, absolutely. I can't see that this display is much different to a Tuono from 6 years ago! Come on Guzzi bods, keep up a bit. Remember that lots of us who were around Guzzi in the past are now older and have dodgy eyesight 😂
I blame the 4K 🤣 (Ok, it is mostly me, but I'm on a tight timeline so it's all handheld... sorry about that) It's a better display than the one on my 2020 R1250GS. Bigger, higher resolution and brighter. I know bigger is great when eyesight starts to, er, mature... (mine is also!) but such things can also be added. On my GS, I use a Samsung Galaxy Active Tab 3 as my dash/navigation and it's much easier to see than the small, low down dash.
Really? I thought the GS has had a huge screen for years now?? If you look at the Guzzi it has a big screen but the actual screen within the screen is much smaller. The sides are reserved for warning lights turn signals. Does that sound right? The Tuono I had was the same. Decent size screen but not all of it used in a TFT kind of way, smaller presumably being cheaper. Look at 8:38 and compare to a Multistrada screen - thing of beauty.@@PeakMotorcycles
@@chrisa7237 mine looks like this: instagram.com/reel/CyIvnI8I9em/ The BMW dash is the small one below the tablet. It also has a massive black space around it…
Yes. That. Though he’s allowed to wear biking gear…. Italy appears to be in the 1970’s about such things. It makes filming difficult when I try to avoid them, though mostly I manage it.
Thanks, though I must admit, I don't really ask people to subscribe. I find it a bit annoying on other videos, and I'd like to think that if the content is good enough, people will find it anyway. About 92% of my views come from non-subscribers, so it doesn't seem to affect anything, and I think people like not being told what to do. That said, thank you anyway, I hope it's worth it!
Oh to find a Guzzi dealership that provides meaningful demo opportunities! This could be a great bike, but besides digital window-shopping, I guess I’ll never find out . . . 🛵
