EICO Model 315 Restore Part 1 

Just the video to lessen my monday blues. Thank you for preparing another restoration series. Thumbs up.

Thats a nice RF signal generator.

I restored one of these a few months ago, and expected a reasonably clean sine wave out of the oscillator... some of the bands were downright ugly on the 'scope. I might try to swap some tubes and see if that cleans up the signal. The resistors in the attenuator section were out of tolerance, so I swapped them with 1% tolerance ones and respec'ed them to get the right attenuation values out of it. And, of course, replaced the old-style microphone connectors with some BNC's. I will say this, Heathkit build documentation was a lot better than Eico's.

Oil or all?

It is good to have 40 minutes or less videos. Even with a two- parter.
