Great video, but let's agree that the pilot of the first start had no control whatsoever, borderline very dangerous. He's lucky that these wings simply fly. Running over the rocks has, of course, massive risk attached, but it clearly shows that he unloads his glider several times, hence the need for a second run on the snow. People should not underestimate start on glaciers/firn.
...and for safety, one should really remove the crampons in flight. Simply attach a small carabiner in advance and click them to your risers/harness carabiner.
