Ive been training for about 4 months and been having trouble with getting the knee in the butt for the split pass. That pigeon stretch detail was very helpful. Thanks for the vid!
Love your comment. 2nd year Bjj black belt here. I'm currently stressing passing more as part of my game plan and thought this was an excellent video. Personally, I love sweeps so much more than passing. There's just that moment when you know you have it right b4 you sweep them that fills me with joy everytime. And with back-takes the same. My guard is very good but I've gotten lazy on passing bc I'm often rolling with lower belts and sweeping is just easier. This video was a great reminder 👊🥋
5:24 "im gonna air guitar" English is not my native langage, but i love how people speaking english can create expressions or mix words to name a thing x)
Thanks so much. I have long legs. So I like to gran near the knees and pin them to the floor and walk wide around. But I’ll get some of your techniques as always.
i will say that while watching an instructional video you need to try and remember the move step by step, but once you have a basic foundation if you were to just have a student get into position, often the student should be able to "feel" the move that is best to be used. somewhat hard to explain, but a while ago i wrote a manual entitled "black belt in a month" and one of the basic tenets is that, ultimately a student should become his own best instructor. another example, back when i was training, i don't anymore due to health issues, but when i was practicing say, a pressure-pt k-o, i would know the instant i made contact if my uke was going out or not. thx for the instruction.
