"Les Faux Discours" is a glimpse of a dinner in an aristocratic setting. This song depicts traits of the bourgeoisie that we find ugly. Falseness in speech, in actions and intentions. General boredom during an evening of luxury and excesses.

Ce n’est plus le vin que l’on sent mais bien l’odeur du sommeil
On se languit en grimaçant du lever du Soleil
Les hommes s’enivrent d’une boisson mensongère
Les femmes redoutent une nuit légère
Passée aux côtés de ronflements d’alcooliques
De maris se disant catholiques
L’épouse craint une main çà et là
D’un plaisir faisant grincer le matelas
La douce élève n’a qu’a bien se tenir
Étirer ses jambe pour bien l’accueillir"
