I came here to hear Einar talk about upcoming music and instead I m now staring at the void of the cosmos that reflects the emptiness inside of me. An emptiness that stretches its arms to hug the entire world, longing for something that will make us all feel more than just grains of sand floating through the galaxy. LOL. This comment, as well as this interview, got real deep.

I'm proud of my Danish ancestry and Wardruna is amazing!

Wardruna deserves so much more respect and attention. They are doing a few shows on the east coast in the beginning of 2018 for those lucky enough to go, I pray Einar may tour further west in time.

I'm in the northern midwest, home to many who claim scandinavian heritage, and we're dying to see these guys!

Just saw them in Los Angeles (as close as they got to my native San Diego) and knowing the heritage of many up in your region, it would be great to see them visit up there. I hope you get to see them at some point.

He makes a good point about the bastardization of Norse culture by the Nazis, because the cheap-ass Wagnerian BS that the Fascists continue to spew to this day is really rather offensive and has very little to do with anything recorded in the sagas, and is really rather offensive!

To be fair, ancient people would be accurately described as Volkisch, or to some extent, Fascist. Just look at the history of interactions between Germania and Rome. In the Sagas they would argue constantly about blood relation to the gods and famous warriors. Their world is incomprehensible to many nowdays.

@@howardman3926 Unlikely..pagans are in touch with the spirit and THAT is universal not just for the frozen north.Any Nordic pagan worth their salt should accept our connective natures and experiences ..Now the vikings maybe but Einar has said many times he is interested in the bronze age and even further back. Do you cease to be a pagan in Africa or Australia? obviously not ....which is why pagans across the world can connect at a primal level.

@@mern461 Paganism is a a type of religion, not a religion by itself. People should worship their own native religion. An African simply can't connect as well to Scandinavian culture. Nor can a European connect to African culture. The religions can be based upon the same principles, but whether you like it or not, ethnicity is a part of a culture. Doesn't mean any pagan culture is better than the next, but they aren't all compatible culturally.

@The Flying Dolphin In dreamland, sure, a black person can practice Norse faith and a white person can practice Native American faith, but especially for the latter, it would be considered to be in bad faith. These religions revolve around the people who had originally practiced it, and people of a different race will simply have a harder mental hurdle to go through to be able to genuinely practice the faith, if at all. People freak put about cultural appropriation of African or Native American culture, but don't in the reverse situation

Ragnar's braids are probably false I personally prefer Ivar's buzz cut...it's much more practical.

You'd do better to listen to someone who actually has something to say.
