Why is everyone arguing with somebody called Satansprick13 ? Who cares about the language if we are just enjoying the music. I'm from Ireland and traveled to Amsterdam to see this fantastic German band, and you know what ? I couldn't understand word one in any of the German songs, It was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.
One might apparently think this song is the same old idea, but take a look at the lyrics in your own language if you can. It is exactly the opposite. It is the rebellion against established thinking. It calls for questioning and literally emptying one's brains against the wall so that one might be able to take in something different and new. They are not looking for the scapegoat, but rather for the escape route. It's beautiful.
saw an act back in 92 and they did not play that track unfortunately, but it was an very great act in dusseldorf at noise now festval, this sound is unique also nowadays
@madrailman91 Nice! I'm going to two nights in San Francisco just a few days before you. I feel truly priveleged to see these guys in America after years of waiting.
What beautiful music these guys make. F.M Einheit (name spelling wrong) Came here to Ottawa. Was one of the opening bands for Download. What a performance he put on. Id love to see them all together. So creative!
great performance. wish it could have been multi-screen, one fr each performer, so we could see what the musician does fr the whole time. camera too jumpy as is....
where are they playing in april ? they cancelled on us last april in nottingham due to lack of ticket sales, yet mindless self indulgence got a full house in the venue instead. sad day.
I love my friend dani who gave me this link its funny we have been friends online for something approaching 10 yrs neubaten transcend the boundaries of language Ive loved them for 20 yrs and i dont speak a word of german (except that which i have learnt through them, I now know a suprising amount of what my german mates are talking about thanks to EN)
They didn’t buy. They used same producer who took his keyboard with him which had many Neubauten samples contained within. People are People is the one after Zeichnungen des Patienten OT. Just listen. It’s 1983-1984 all over again.
@1Aurelija Galennskapt meant "metal" in terms of steel, iron. aluminum...the percussive instruments EN uses are industrial age waste products eg shopping carts, springs, ventilation shafts etc. I agree, the wine is good..even better w time.
Maybe it would be prudent to familiarize yourself with 'industrial' music up to the point Trent released PHM. There's a great deal of obscure work that sounds stikingly similar... Jim Thirwell, Tom Ellard, and the list goes on. Jim Thirwell produced a series of mixes for Fixed, I believe, because Trent had great respect for his influence on his own work. This doesn't mean Trent is not a talented artist, it just means that your statement "..rezner steals from nowhere" is misaligned with the facts
Geht mir genau so!
I don't speak German. If you're interested, there're translations online. Only if you want (obviously). Actually it's been awhile since I listened to this myself.
@1Aurelija you do'nt know much about metal, right? it's more than "destroying instruments & roaring like animals"...ok sometimes, yes you're right but not often. and to the music of einstürzende neubauten:i think it's a mix from punk, industrial and poetry sorry,my english isn't very well.
