Given that Dero recently turned out to be a massive AfD supporter, I wouldn’t be so sure. Eisbrecher have identified themselves with the left, fans definitely perceive them as such, but this song was released when Dero was already “falling off” so to speak. Most of the lyrics in this are really quite ambiguous, as just about _everyone_ claims to be against authoritarianism and groupthink regardless of politics. Just as we criticise the right for being repressive, bigoted and close-minded (for obvious reasons), they accuse us of the same with epithets like “anti-free speech” and “anti-white”, which quite frankly are both bullshit claims. But listen through the song with those tropes in mind, and you can hear how it can be twisted either way.
