This issue has been long settled by numerous auditors, the postal police, and the Postmaster General himself. 🙄 ignorance by police and government employees is rampant in this country, and even when proven wrong, they can never admit it.

That's because of 2 things. 1. Inadequate training 2. People don't care. They care about their feelings and their interpretation of the law, not the actual law.

They always claim the person with the camera is the one causing the disturbance. Lets put this in perspective. 1. A man walks up to me filming, he doesn't want to be filmed in public, he gets loud and starts causing a scene. I remain calm and speak at a normal voice level. Everyone, including police say I am causing a disturbance by recording people, that I have to leave and threaten me with arrest. 2. A man walks up to the counter, notices the buildings security cameras. Tells the worker at the counter he doesn't want to be recorded, he gets loud, causing a scene. Police arrive, who's causing the disturbance now? The man or the ones doing the recording. Do the police tell the PO they need to take down the cameras, they are causing a disturbance and threaten THEM with arrest? NO.

The solution is simple. Every Federal Building should post a sign that says........ Only Federal Law Enforcement Officers or Agents Have Authority On Federal Property. State, County and Local Law Enforcement Agencies Have No Jurisdiction on Federal Property.

Good video Nick, in the post office unless your committing a crime its the post masters juristriction. You should ask for a post master who will arrive and should de-escalate the siutation and educate the police and staff on poster 7 and your right to film in publically accessible areas of the building.

I can answer for Iowa only. 1 is they take an MMPI psych.test.I did for a 911 dispatch. You can look up the test. Its 567 questions and you can't fake it. It shows personality and mental disorders
