HP Umpire John Libka ejected White Sox manager Tony La Russa and SS Tim Anderson after ball/strike calls in Milwaukee. Report: www.closecallsports.com/2021/...
If the Chicago relied on the broadcast's TV graphics, it would appear the umpire missed several calls. However, it turns out that both pitches that appear to have been incorrect in real-time were actually deemed the correct call by MLB following the game due to the long-standing known problem with computerized strike zones known as vertical zone error.

The PitchCast system makes vertical adjustments after every game based on actual observed data (the graphics shown in K-Zone, FoxTrax, or equivalent is actually estimated data) and based on the post-game adjustments for this game, Libka's calls were correct and the real-time graphics were incorrect.

This causes significant problems during games when teams think an umpire has missed a ball/strike call when the umpire was actually correct. It just takes until after the game to find out whether the real-time graphics were correct or whether the umpire was...time that teams and umpires alike do not have during the game itself.
