actually it was the year 1986 when this serial aired on DD..watching after 33 years..what a golden era of Indian television...those days never comes in Indian Television history
Very true I was 6 years old that time. I remember this show. It was so much fun. Less cars buses on the road less noise. Our society used to be very calm and peaceful. The atmosphere was so pleasant at that time. Can't describe in words. Specially the people were so well mannered. They always used to speak slowly and used to listen patiently.Luckily even I have got the habit of listening more to people. Great days.
Must b someone like who hate modern fake shit...i think dat person must simple who like to keep things as it used in 90s....simple and memorable...great personality...
Still still ek do teen chaar, fresh in my memories. never missed a single episode with my brother. Doordarshan in this late eighties telecasts such nostalgic. Tears still in my eyes. Missing too much.
I was 10yrs old n I still remember whole lyrics n it was my favourite serial. Due to this I wished to visit Appu Ghar someday❤️. And I did visit later😇
The moment I heard this, my brain teleports me to 1980s watching these awesome serials in front of my Solidaire TV in my mom's lap :-) I wanted to wear the same dress like them. Heavenly days.
The music for this was by Kersi Lord, who, for the longest time was under the shadow of great composers like S.D. Burman R.D. Burman, Naushad and so many others. His contribution to some of the memorable songs by these music directors is what made the songs stand out.
I was 7 yrs old but I still remember these series vividly. Thankyou so much for uploading....makes me super nostalgic. I got tears in my eyes. Those days were the best.....!!!
Wow: what an unforgettable wonderful days of my Childhood,i was 6 or 7 years old, we have had Black and white TV with open- closing wooden shutters,Wow! What was those golden days, Ramayan,Malgudi days, waiting for Sunday evening hindi movie,Vikram Betaal😢🙄 Actually doordarshan was the real king of TV World, and I must say a huge thanks to RU-vid,which maintains these unforgettable precious moments 👍👌🤗☺️🙏🙏
As 8-9 year olds, with a very little Hindi knowledge, we were pretty much glued to the TV on Saturday afternoons and most of the Sunday mornings. Saturday's Saptahik, Didi's comedy show, Mickey mouse, spiderman, Ek Do Teen char, Mahabharat, He-man and the Universe, Bharat ek Khoj mein, Vishwamitra, and in early 90's Starting Sunday's with Rangoli. In between these programs we had the fillers like Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, Desi Raag, Sooraj ek Chanda ek (chidiyonki kahani), Batti's Ulta Pulta shorts. Thank you Doordarshan for the simple joys!
If we analyze all the times, no doubt 80s kids had the best childhood because we were just in middle of old traditions and modern technology. Proud to be the 80s kid
Used to watch this on a B&W TV. I was too young to understand what was going on, but sir, this is childhood for us early mid life guys right here. I agree with Vishal Katoch, to thank you uploader. Sometimes we need to go back to being that kid again.
Really feel to cry when see these old videos. Those magical days have gone forever. Now the world has changed but today we can't feel the magical happiness of those golden days
Very true, whole family used to sit and watch one tv program and Sunday used to be like the time we would wake up to see tv right from the time he man would start to the regional afternoon film .
I was 15 year old then and my father was in 🇮🇳 Indian Air ✈️️force dundigal, hyderabad. I always miss that lovely days very very much. Jab her koi insaan ko sirf insaan samajhta tha aur nah hee kisi ke din mein koi bhed bhav tha nah koi apne ko hindu bolta tha nah koi muslim nah koi sikh nah hee koi apne ko eesayi bade acche din thae woh. Hindu bhai muslim ke festivals ko enjoy kerta tha aur muslim Veisversa. Kash woh din phir se hamari life mein lout ke ahjaye.
MY GOD !!!!!!! I was dying to find this clip, got extremely nostalgic, those simple happy days,......remember watching it first thing on Sundays as a kid, followed by King Queen, Rajani, and Spiderman. It just struck inner cords and takes me back to those time !!!!!!
I was 11 year old at this time. But this song and this intro i remember it so well... now me a 47 year old is watching it all over again with a funny smile on my face. 😊
I have seen all the episodes of this serial. And I have visited Appu Ghar from Punjab one night. It was one of the finest nights of my life. I still remember the Bhoot Bangla, trail and amazing lighting. Delhi today has too many outsiders from casual areas who have caused enough cultural pollution already. Back then, people used to talk to each other on the streets and the mutual trust, harmony and social sense was so good. I think about those strangers who gave me great tips for the future in such areas. People who were born in the late 1980s or after that simply ignored or refused to inherit that country culture (books, toys, comics, seminars, libraries, horse riding, swimming, cycling, camping, adventure trips, hiking, picnics, spiritual journies during special seasons etc.) Now when I talk to some kid (3-4 years old), I notice some strange negativity which was totally not there back then. For the desi vibe of the early 1980s.....

I feel very sad for today's generation of children. No serials for them.. our era had Ek Do Teen Char, Sigma, PC aur Mausi, Indradhanush, Fairy Tale Theatres.. Stone Boy Delhi Doordarshan used to air a serial named Ashish in 1988/89
