I can easily see why she placed first. She was clearly willing to put in the time, and the work, and to learn and understand the requirements of dance, and be able to display the results of her practice and learning at a given moment, with a high degree of professionalism, which very few adults ever achieve….which makes it a fantastic achievement for an 11-year-old. Ekaterina….I don’t know where you are based for home, but I hope to see you dance in person one day.
The hard thing about this variation is: It has not great extensions or big jumps or so... But it's meant to be danced in a really strict technical style, while being freeful and playful. A weird combo!

@@victoriafomina946 it just means “pretty” in spanish and also an irrelevant detail, but that account (evangelina pancote elias) typically spams the same comment on ballet videos everywhere so yeah just ignore them. you can see on yagp’s channel that all the new videos, even ones that haven’t been premiered yet, all have that account saying “linda” or “todos maravillosas” or something like that.
My lord….she’s 11…..dances several hours each day and hasn’t hit puberty. And judging by her bone structure, she will likely be long and lean even when she’s done dancing. I’m so sick of people continuing to judge women and girls by how they look and comment on THAT instead of judging her dancing here! No one wants your opinion on her body or anyone else’s. Keep it to yourself….or better yet…..go take a good long look in the mirror and judge yourself instead.
Танец техничный, но деревянный и абсолютно не артистичный. Одно и то же напряженное выражение лица на протяжении всего видео. Всё-таки рановато выходить на пальцах в 11 лет, теряется лёгкость и осмысленность танца.
