This scene was fantastic. Ekko and Jinx are so badass.

the fact that he still 100% remembers Jinx' attacks after all those years makes me think that he has never forgotten about Powder and the things they do before.

God there where so many emotions in this scene. It started off with them being almost FLIRTATIOUS with each other and ends with fear, recognition, pride and sadness. This show is just to good.

The boy who shattered time? The man who shattered jaws.

He used his childhood memories to predict the trajectories of her bullets. This guy's insane.

All people involved in the making of this show should get all the rewards Edit : same for season 2 :D

this 1 scene convinced me that arcane is a true masterpiece.

Ekko was ready to kill Jinx, but he wasn't ready to kill Powder.

the fact that Ekko was already so cool even without he's tech leaves so much more room for excitement, can't wait for his interaction with a "clock tower"

Holy crap, this was easily the best scene in the whole show for me. I've watched this like 20 times already. The first time I watched it, as soon as the art style switched and the beat dropped my eyes were hooked.

Ekko, Vi and Jinx form together the holy badass triangle.

Thats how you do it, no need for stupid and repetitive flashbacks, this continued the main story while explaining the past of those characters, amazing art and close to perfection story flow

Ekko is criminally underused . I really hope they give him WAY more screen time in season 2

Something i dont see people talk about is that these two are both crazy talented engineers and probably bonded over that fact as kids (you even see them ride in a weird wheel thing in the Enemy MV). Now they’re using their bootleg ass tech to fight. Sad.

Jinx's face went from badass cute to soul-crushing in this scene

I love how they portrayed Ekko's character. They couldn't really introduce time travel into the plot (things would've gotten way too convoluted), so instead they showed a kind of "mental" time travel. Ekko lives in both the past and present. For him everything that happened years ago feels like it happened yesterday. He's a master of "time" in the sense of memory, a kind of philosophical twist on the straightforward "time-traveller" idea. It's just a great way to adapt a seemingly unadaptable character.

a lot of movie/anime have same fighting concept, past vs present. but how they delivered it is something else. its brilliant

Y’all don’t understand how much this scene meant to me man. I remembered when Ekko’s cinematic came out and I was like… damn I’m going to play this champion. And now that I see him actually on my TV on a goddamn series?! I couldn’t help but cry and awe. It was like seeing my hero first time on the television. God I love Arcane and especially Riot Games. ❤️❤️

I thought this show success was due to the popularity of the video game but i was so wrong, the quality of the animation, the songs the story. It is just beautiful. Arcane is on a whole new level.

All of the fight scenes from this show were gold. 10/10. And the music! God it was amazing, tying all of the scenes together.

Ekko is one of my favorites after learning about his lore a little. They need to expand it more, (cause I wanna know more,) but rito really has surprised me. Excellent!!!

This scene was such a great context for their friendship, I just wish they had shown this more at the first act. I imagine a lot of fun interaction and dialogue would come from these two.

Not gonna even lie I watched this for Vi but found myself getting attached to everyone, especially Ekko and Jinx. I dont know how he could fight her given that he was there the whole time unlike Vi who just remembers the past but wasnt present for all the changes. Im so stoked for Season 2

Ekko always brings out the best in creators. Seconds ,his intro video in league of legends, was a masterpiece when it was made and now there's ekko vs jinx which may be single-handedly the best part of all of Arcane.

Hands down one of the best fight scenes in all of animated series/films

I really like this scene between the two characters because they both came from the same backgrounds, they both were at some point friends, and they both had a thing for technology, but certain events led them to two different paths and two different sides. This fight in my opinion, is there way of reliving the past while still focusing on the future, and trying to fight for what they think is the right thing. And for the pocket watch, we see him in the flashback use it to time himself, assuming to see how long it would take him to reach Jinx, so the fact we see him set the timer again to see how long it would take for him to reach jinx also adds to the "Reliving the past one last time" notion. Maybe this was his Z-drive, maybe it wasn't, who knows, all i know is that this scene was amazing because it was able to show the seriousness of the situation along with how it reminded them both of the past and of better times.
