El has not lost 1 single thing when it comes to entertaining...his work ethic, penmanship & voice to MY ears has only gotten BETTER (not that it was ever NOT great already DECADES ago) with time. Like fine wine it has gotten RICHER. May he live to get MANY MORE YEARS. Blessings to the ENTIRE DeBarge family. I own a few of their older CDs & His voice is so good that the live performance sounds just like the CD. THAT is VERY RARE these days & PRE-RECORDED & AUTO TUNES. I wish he would come to NC THIS year of 2023.
His falsetto is beautiful and he is so fine for being 62 years old. He honestly deserves more credit, he defined hip hop and he needs more recognition. I love El Debarge❤

🤔... 62 is very old, being that most dye by natural causes within 10-13 yrs of this age. Also, 62 is very old for the larynx and voice box which change with age as much as our skin and face does. This is why old men sound like old men. So for EL to sound almost identical to how he sounded 40 years ago, is simply amazing. Because he certainly doesn't look identical to how he looked 40 yrs ago.
@@janepatton8100 Sorry but I've seen toooo many nonfamous 62 plus year old black people looking waaaay younger than some in their mid 40's 50's..the Angela Bassett look..and still holding it down in their youthful singing voices.. living a healthy good life.. From when I was younger even now I always get complimented on how my now beautiful 40 year old daughter and I are mistaken f Sisters..and no I didn't have her at a very young age..And somebody needs to tell Charlie Wilson his pipes shouldn't be working like they did back in the day either.. he's still blowing sounding the same as I remember as well.Another thing I see in this generation ..some younger ladies looking way older than me when I were their age.🤔

Y'all...Time Will Reveal (my favorite song by him) dropped in 1983. FORTY YEARS AGO!! At 3:32 he hit those notes with the same strength and clarity as he did decades ago. Damn impressive! Thanks for sharing this, glad to see he's still killing it at 62
70s baby here I was 10 when The Debarge hit the scene. This is the beautiful music that was impressed upon our spirit and our childhood. 70s babies are a beautiful bunch.
