Watch me react to El DeBarge Tiny Desk Concert series presented by NPR Music celebrating Black History Month with legends in the world of R&B, jazz, gospel, and hip hop. DeBarge was an American musical recording group that released six studio albums, four of them with Motown subsidiary Gordy Records. These albums included The DeBarges (1981), All This Love (1982), In a Special Way (1983), and Rhythm of the Night (1985). The latter became the group's best-selling album and contained the single "Rhythm of the Night", which hit No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100, making it their highest charting single in America.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Debarge twice in concert twice. I just saw him on Saturday and it was amazing. I will make an effort to see him whenever he is in my area.

He's had a rough life plagued by abuse and addiction but the Almighty kept his voice and talents in His grace. Not to many singers can perform their songs flawlessly in the original key 40+ years later.

Wonderful TD Concert by El DeBarge!! He's a phenomenal, anointed and blessed man and extremely gifted to play, sing and write. I'm enjoying your reaction to this as well😁😁. He's been live Shows for some years now; hope you've been able to see one of them. He also has solo albums. Thanks for sharing your Reaction!!

🤗🤗 Uhhhh ohhhh! Come on El. I reacted the same way! I've always loved him, but when I found out that El wrote this song when he was only 15 years old I was done. 😲😲...WTF!!! Amazing & beautiful. He's a beast on the keys. Always have. A damn genius.

Yeah El’s a beast on the keys. You should check him out on Sheila E’s show last year playing and singing and telling stories. They do love me in a special way, some gospel improv and a jazzy blues they also do all this love in the same session. He also did an instagram live performance that’s on RU-vid. He’s doing concerts currently the next will be in Brooklyn I think. A lot of his concert footage has been uploaded to RU-vid by fans and he has an official RU-vid page where he posts concert footage

@@thisisitreactions oooh, there’s a video from Dj Cassidy’s birthday party where El jumps on the baby grand to back up Phillip Bailey of EWF! Verdine White was there on bass, too! He stole my heart outright with that one
