I just saw El Debarge at the Rickey Smiley Birthday Bash last summer and he sang all of these jamz and killed it! Hit every high note. I have seen them live as well in the 80’s 🔥🔥🔥❤️

I was in 11th grade when this came out and I left school during lunch to go buy the album the day it came out. In hindsight, it makes no sense why I thought it was a good idea (awkward to carry a vinyl album around for a few more classes and there'd still be plenty in the store when school was out lol). I guess I just wanted to be the first one to have it. Friends and others were interested in looking it over - even though we had no way to play it at school - so nobody made fun of me for doing it. And El was the epitome of the era when "pretty boys" were THE SHIT 🥰.

I know this album by heart. They were my very first concert.

Check out their big brothers Bobby & Tommy group Switch “I Call Your Name” & “There’ll Never Be.” You’ll see in runs in the family. That falsetto is undeniable.
