Yes the modder of this mod, Kamzik123 said that his el impoluto mod uses the real el impoluto ram damage hence why its so strong at ramming any ship seen in this vid.
I think the obvious reason they didn't allow you to play ships like this is it would make sea battles too easy. You were basically melting legendary ships in a few salvos.
I remember barely having upgraded my ship, sailing across the ends of the map and then out of nowhere, El Impoluto appeared and destroyed me to oblivion. I had very little health left but got a chance to escape from that situation.
i have more issues with the twin ships, somehow the white one is always the one i take down last and she always charges head on into me, i know you are supposed to try and stay behind them but damn
@@istoppedcaring6209 it all about engagement range. For El Impoluto, it's best to stay at long range. For HMS Prince, it's mid range. To avoid mortar and heavy shots. La dama negra, it's about close range and impaling it's back. Twin ships, best bet is long range. When they suround you, it's pretty deadly.
and that's the problem. the reason why you can't is because of story and the risk and reward out of it. the jackdaw is its own unique ship that Edward chose to stick with. Edward even pointed out the weakness of the bigger ships..they are slow and fat. it brings the risk to the reward. if you fully upgrade your jackdaw you can easily take down normal man, o wars. he has a normal brig that has more cannons than a normal brig, more power to it while not sacrificing its narrowness and the agile spectrum of it. and that's what makes the jackdaw so unique. you have to explore underwater to find elite upgrades that you cant usually buy out of the shop and its amazing because its a way to make it as powerful as it can be while putting it into perspective that no other ship can do it. if you fully upgrade your jackdaw you can destroy the legendary ships with medium difficulty. the legendary ships are the definition of power, strength and destruction. while the jackdaw is the definition of growth, strategy and balance. polar opposites. and the jackdaw will always win. they said before you challenge the legendary ships it take the best captain to be able to do it. and that means it takes strategy and planning. and with your crew who are loyal to Edward they don't follow an agenda until Edward says the word because they know with him that they'll win. that's why the jackdaw is so special. that's why the crew is so special and a quartermaster to put the icing on the cake. the jackdaw wasn't ever just a regular brig. it was Edward Kenways brig and that is more than enough to even the odds. the difficulty would be too easy. and to take the easy way is never going to be appreciated as much as doing it the hard way. it takes actual difficulty, planning, strategy and hope. and the jackdaw being as it is gives the opportunity to feel it. and it feels amazing after upgrading it to the max it gives more to the players to even the odds of higher level ships. it brings opportunity.
Irl pirates preferred more on fast and small ships like sloops, brigs and schooners to easily evade/escape huge RN ships, the jackdaw is the perfect example.
@@tidepod10yearsago97 yeah, but you rarely flee from fights in black flag. You’re able to solo like 8 man-o-wars. There’s also way too many ships for it to be “accurate”
Imagine being able to add these to your fleet and they unlocked special missions or abilities, like maybe you could have one on a patrol route that keeps the trade route chosen clear for trade missions
This ships is OP as hell man, i wonder why Ubisoft not making this Legendary ships stats at the game, i mean to make the Legendary battle more frightening 😂😂😂
Jackdaw in AC:Black Flag, Morrigan in AC: Rogue, is also consider as Legendary Ship in that time, being able to defeat all of the man o' war, also very equipped with more weapon, though in reality, It's actually lack the fire power, after all, reloading cannon in real life is not as fast just like in game, haha
Was kind of bummed when I found out you can’t sail captured ships nor capture the legendary ships. I had hoped it was like far cry primal where you can tame legendary animals right before they die; in this sense, boarding and capturing the legendary ships before they sink.

Right before 563m let go of the wheel before the ship enters combat putting you in a glitch state, the enemy ship recognizes your ship but doesn't attack because your not at the wheel, before you grab the wheel, go down into the captain quarters and buy an appearance upgrade like a figurehead, recommended you have Ubisoft cheats enabled so you can repeat the process and not loose wasted materials, once you leave the quarters the camera will pan out because a new upgrade was bought, go to the wheel and for some reason you can move in fast travel speed while in combat unfortunately El Impoluto moves faster than fast travel speed but you can out maneuver the brothers (MHS Fearless & Royal Sovereign)
@@Pain-95 a bit late on the reply from me here but, you need some seriously good luck to get onto the ships, because they're ment to be sunk, their climable areas and movement areas are very restricted,, you can't climb up the sides and if you get on the deck, you can't jump off the sides, you have to use the masts in particular ways (without falling off) to get off the ship, and to defeat the ship, you have to kill all crew members, including the blasted snipers, otherwise if you jump off the crew respawn. but you need incredible luck, you can't really jump on, you have to wait till the ship is close enough to get on deck, or it's side masts pick you up.
Thia video showcases the real prowess of El Impoluto. I thought it would have a hard time against La Dama Negra due to its impenetrable sides but it was able to defeat it without much damage.
And unfortunately, in AC Rogue, we get what essentially amounts to a glorified Brig (the one you drive is a Sloop of War). And there's no way to take control of a larger ship.
When I first played this game when I was little, I really wanted to use this ship, I did a lot of research, but there was nothing, now when I saw it, I got a little emotional and happy.
What if instead of being forced to use the brigs we instead had to choose between a brigs , frigate and galleon/man o war where it would be like a " choose starter class " and they would have their own pro's and cons and we would be forced to play with them for the rest of the game

There's two ways you can get that many "quickly" first way is abusing the respawn mechanic with HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign, sink one, grab its reales(10k) and die to the other to do it repeatedly, or just spam Kenway fleet

If you could actually own the El Impoluto after you've defeated it, it would destroy the whole spain & brit's fleet, that ram damage could shake the world

Sail speed unfortunately with this mod is the same as jackdaw I believe. The chainshot, broadside cannon, roundshot, mortars, come from the nosso senhor from that one mission where you manned a Portuguese man o war. Ram strength is from el impoluto itself.
To be honest lama de na gera is the most best legandary ship but with the jackdaw its almost imposible to kill lama de na gera since you hafe to hit him behind the back to damage but if you hit him in the canons he takes no damage and is emuen to it
